First of all. Iggy it was soooooo cool to meet yah. You're such a nice , funny and cool bloke and also your friend Dave.
Oke. So Galvanize came on and i saw this bloke in a PTB t shirt , so i went up to him and said something like " Dude you are so cool! I like you! Blablalba " and i said " Come to chemicalbrothers.com " and he asked me my name so i said " jeanie "
he was like " No way! I know you! Youre the girl with that moving sig !!! " i went ape man , i thougt that was sooooo cool! he was like " i am Holland biggest fan " so i said " oke we share that first spot " hahaha. Turns out he is the maker of chemicalbrothers.nl and that he reads on the board very often.
Reason why i post this is because we gave eachother such a big hugg for being a fan , and we didnt even know eachother. Chemical fans are such cool people.I mean, music brings total strangers togheter. And between Chems fans there is only love and peace
So dude , if u read this , it was an honour to meet you. Hope , in the future , you will not only read but also post. You are more than welcome!! Sorry i left suddenly but i heard prodigy , so u understand i HAD to dance, I searched for yah but you were gone!!
So peeps , my point is...i dont know any cooler fans than Chems fans. I honestly love all the frequent posters of this board. So i want to take this oppertunity to give ya'll one big hugg.
And iggy , i was drunk , usually i'm less hyper *uch* Hahahaha *Hugs!*
Ciao Peeps.

Indeed there are some pretty cool people on this forum, some I've met, some I've chatted with and some I really want to talk to cause you seem pretty cool ;-) (I'll pm you people).
And yes there is so much love on this forum, it's true and real and so cool that we can share ups and downs or just be plain silly. I like coming here!!

Are you the guy with the black jacket with the Chemical Brothers logo in white on the back? Did you used to buy your records at Metro in Utrecht? Because the guys over there told me that is the biggest dutch Chemical fan. I know I'm big so how big are you :D ?

I hope nobody minds me taking the opportunity now to get all sappy, kind of put forth my appreciation for you guys.
I remember before I first started... eh, getting addicted - I mean - going online - the whole concept of meeting people from the internet was very foreign.
stash and I have met people from other sites, but those friendships have faded over time or we've all dropped out of touch. And unfortunately, a good deal of the people we met were friggen web carnies that we didn't want much to do with. I guess there wasn't enough "there" in the first place to base any kind of real long standing friendship on? I don't know.
What I do know is that it's different here and I like it.
If it weren't for a few people on this board, I wouldn't have had the fun birthday this past January (I'm an Aquarius in case any of you wondered - and Jeanie, my son is an Aries!) And if it weren't for this board, I wouldn't have been able to be in the presence of 2 really great people getting their chemical cherries popped at this past Coachella. And I wouldn't have had a passed out Canadian houseguest over the summer that my son wanted to keep so he could have a big brother. I am glad to have opened my house up to a brother. Aside from the face to face meetings, I'm glad I've been able to feel close to you through this place even though physically, there's geography distancing us.
Before this board came into existance, I have my first chemical family from the old Chems mailing list who I can proudly call my friends. They are all good people.
And even long before the Chemical Brothers were in the cards in the 1980's, my closest friend who I still talk to every now and again - we met because we had the same band names scribbled on our notebooks at school.
Music is a powerful thing. It never ceases to amaze me how friendships are built on a common love for one thing, like music.
I've heard of other music fan communities that have similar bonds like the one we have here - just from talking to people I know who have their own bands they follow. Or they had similar chance meetings like Jeanie has. This all solidifies my belief in music or at the very least it's ability to create common bonds and bring people together. I think at this point it's developed into something more than what pleases the ear.
Hmm. I don't want to get too wishy washy, or more wishy washy than I already have, but I really appreciate you guys. I'm so glad to have this place, and grateful for the music that brought us all here. And I'm glad that you welcomed my husband because I wanted him to be a part of this.

I've met online here so many awesome people, a couple incredible people in person because of the board and I'll meet many more in just a couple months. This board has been the catalyst for three of the four best and most interesting things that happened to me this year: going to Coachella, a second California trip before school started, and now going to London for NYE.
That's all down to how cool the people are on here, how welcoming, inviting, and interesting. And how we all share that love for mad beats and the glint in Tom's eye (which is becoming a fixation for me! :-// ).

Well , also i dont think internet is "taboo" anymore. Before people would go like -> 8O if u say i'm going to meet some peeps from the internet. Now , it's normal. internet became the biggest form of communication so it's all quite logic if you ask me. I dont want so sounds like a Nerd , but i just LOVE to eat my breakfast while reading the new posts.
Whirly you're not Wishy Washy! I mean , i started this thread in the first place for meeting that awesome bloke yesterday. And than i thought of you guys and i felt that i had to show my appreciation haha.
And also for Tom and Ed , for bringing us all togheter in the first place. Like Dark said , the Glint in Tom's eye and Ed's moves at gigs hehehe.
Music is a very big thing.

Last time I met Whirly, 'Stash, Chemfan and Sneaker my mates just took the piss. I don't care though, i've met some cool people through this place.
I'll see some new faces at New Years in Turnmills, but I do advise that upon greeting me you wipe your hand with an antibacterial cloth before attempting to shake my sequin gloved hand.
Make no mistake, Jeanie is madder than a Japanese game show hosted by men wearing only but fig leaves, she is funny, cracked me up!
I was bussin' some moves in the hip hop room while she was in the other room jiggin' to some country music X-D

Yeah mang. Was great to meet Jeanie, but I did tell her to call me by my proper name infront of my friend as it was way too geeky.
So true, it took a lot of effort to talk about Whirly and 'stash by their real names to my parents, g/f, etc. at first.

For some reason one of my mates got it into her head that I was going to a Matrix meet 8O and that's what she told everyone else! Son of a bitch! Now that would be bad. Dark glasses and long leather jackets, people answering their phones by saying "operator" and the inability to make a movement without a swishing sound. X-D
Music is different, we can get away with it!

Only in Holland! (And Texas, I guess) X-D
Whirly, what you said applies to me so well too. I've been talking to people via the net for probably going on 8 years now, but the peeps from back then have moved on and now I know none of them. But I've been a "chemicalfan" for gotta be 6 years or there abouts, and I'm still here. Granted, there are only one or 2 from the original mailing list on the scene, but it still feels that the Chemical Brothers are able to bring much love to their fan base, through what can only be the influence of their music.
To quote some guy who said it: "I love you guys" 8)

hehehe, Keanu used to live in my city before he was famous. After he broke out with Speed, he turned down a couple big roles to play Hamlet at my local theatre company that I used to have season tickets for.
Chemicalfan, unfortunately country is reasonably popular out here, as I live on the edge of the prairies. Our on-campus bar has a country night for the Agriculture faculty at uni. It's good fun sometimes.... if you're drunk enough. :D
