Galvanise was the first track dj Fergie dropped on his radio one show! Go there and listen to it. Its quality is a million times better than the ecard rubbish and it doesn't need to buffer every second.

I was thinking to myself "I wonder when they'll start playing Galvaise on Radio 1" so I turned on the Radio not expecting but hoping they might play it, and what do I hear on the click of the on button, GALVANISE! :D It was on Jo Whileys show, and I think she mentioned something about record of the week.
She read out some texts regarding the single, first one was positive, the second one said they were disapointed, and Jo just told them they were wrong :D

Electronica? On the radio? Where? I'll take 'Lola's Theme', it's not outplayed over here... my God, for a radio station that wasn't either top 40, Modern Rock, Adult Contemporary, or Country.....
Actually, that's not fair, the radio stations of the two universities here put on electronica shows, but I'm not too sure how good they are. Now if only I can get the Top 40 station to play Galvanize......

Radio out where I am kinda blows. It's been that way for years now so I rarely turn on the radio. There's a new "indie" station that plays some decent stuff and I've heard the Chems on there a couple of times. Considering I don't tune in very often I was amazed and impressed! The downer is that the reception is horrible, and I'm so afraid it will go the way every other "indie" station has... down the toilet.
12 years ago... maybe longer... we had a great station here called MARS FM. One of the dj's was Mtv's JJ Jackson (r.i.p.) I think he may have even helped fund the station at first. They played nothing but electronic based music. Everything from industrial to Eno. It was the first place I heard Orbital's Little Fluffy Clouds, Utah Saints, Messiah. At the time it was revolutionary to have a radio station that wasn't playing classic rock, hard rock, oldies, or top40. Sadly one day, it went off the air.

yeah, I've been thinking about that, too. I find it's quite amazing that in the UK they have a radio station that not only plays electronica/dance music often, but it's not even commercial! I mean, just like BBC, we have the CBC in Canada, but the only time you might here anything close is the shows that play underground music, after midnight.. or on Friday or Saturday nights.. well, I guess that's not too bad..

Daytime shows on Radio One are unbelievably bad, with the exception of some good hosts. The music they play is aggrevating, night time radio is where the proper music is. Here in Peterborough, we have 3 stations to choose from, and that's it :'( and they're all rubbish!
go to London though and you're spoilt for choice.

sneaker, have you dropped galvanise yet when you've played to people?
I know it's not out yet, but if you've got the mp3 you could burn it to CD in theory, then judge the crowd's reaction. Plus you'd be playing the freshest music ;-)
as punk said, i only got the short low quality mp3. cant be dropping that. most of my set i play mp3 tunes, but i only purchase tunes that are of 320kbps quality, anything less doesn't cut the mustard. i do have the cd promo in the post as we speak, but thats not going to reach me for tonight. id have to see how i would play it. most of my sets i'm playing between 128 and 130bpm. so dropping a tune that is 104bpm needs a bit of planning. still may drop EBW7 again tonight if im in the mood!!

the only reason i listen to radio one in the day time was cos of the presenters. and even they seem to be dissapearing. mark and lard's show was so funny, it was such a shame they had to leave. chris moyles was alright to, but he's moved to the breakfast show so i never get to here him anymore. jo whiley always trys to bring the standard of daytime music up.
as for music in london, what you got??? xfm and thats it. i dont live to far outta london and i can hardly pick it up which is a shame.

You should be able to get virgin radio - plays really good songs you wouldn't think to hear.
vigin is kinda alright. we had that playing at work for a couple of years. at first a really dug it. but then you realise that they play the same songs day in day out. no need for david bowie's starman every day!!!
