There are so many negative posts here i thought why not put something positive.

I don't have a conscious response to that question.

btw, Radiohead ties Chems with me on Fave artist.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

the chems did something very difficult to do,they made Dublin look beautiful to me,for a split second,i was in the car driving back from the country,in the passenger seat listening to dig your own hole on my discman,it was sunset, and we jusr turned onto the river at the top of a hill and where do i begin just kicked into psychadelic reel..........for that moment it was all beautiful.

it sounds clich or corny but whrn you live in this stupid smelly city you'll under stand.

I haven't been to Dublin since 1991. It was as the Pogues say, a Dirty Old Town, grey, cold, damp, all that - kind of like a lump of coal in the midst of emerald green. I didn't find it dreary though, even though economically Dublin was hurting. Dirty aside, I liked it because it was so much different than what I'm used to. I enjoyed the people - very friendly and helpful and they seemed very interested in California and the people at the pubs asked how many celebrities I've spotted. heh.

The Chemicals definitely have this knack, this ability...I don't know. Their music seems to sync up beautifully especially when you're driving around in your car. I liken the music to a soundtrack. I live near the ocean, with this great stretch of beach you can see when you're driving downtown, and there's always people walking their dogs, playing with their kids making sand castles and whatnot, playing basketball or volleyball, people just enjoying life and the ocean, with seagulls and pelicans flying by - it's always so full of life. If I have Come With Us in the car, I tend to always drive right by that stretch of beach right at the moment The State We're In is playing and it fits so perfectly.

The first time I *really* heard Private Psychadelic Reel was in my car. I took the long way home. I was driving up over this hill going toward the ocean. Right after the epic intro, right when the song exploded, I reached the crest of the hill and the ocean was before me and the sun about to set so everything was golden. I think of that whenever I hear the song. Really a beautiful moment but I guess you had to be there.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
