I'm fully tooled up now, just been up town to buy all the essentials, spent an arm and a leg. I think I have it all now...now where did I put my ticket... :o
Leaving Friday morning at 7.45 by coach, the journey is a nice 7hrs :'(
I think Friday's going to be the best night of them all, but who knows, i'll fight tiredness to make it to the secret DJ set 8)
*opens up brand new silver plated hip flask used for one thing and one thing only, whiskey*

I can't wait - I'm off tomorrow morning!....
strange that iguanapunk mentioned a glastonbury beard, I'm also spoting one this season....
as far as I'm concerned there is only one style:
THE JAZZ BEARD
I'll try and report back from the chems sets....depends on how clear my memory is.....
I'm taking a dictaphone this year, try and capture some.....er......battered rambling probably!
keep jackin'

I'm leaving tomorrow cus I'm bvggered if I'm getting caught up travelling down on friday.....plus there's bits and bobs about site to do and frankly glastonbury is one of my favourite places to be.....I love wandering around there....the return of the ewok village etc......
the rest of my crowd went down today - they're champing at the bits as usual!.....
as for beards - the jazz beard is very similar to the deep house beard I guess....the full on beard primed for stroking sagely and talking about how it used to be when you went to the loft/wore sandles etc
speak to mips - he's a partial to a jazz beard of late

latest glasto news!! check out the bit about the cloudbusting gun!!!!
Fans have started arriving at the site of this year's GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL, with festival goers turning up to a soggy site.
Although the music does not start until Friday (June 25), the gates to Worthy Farm opened at 10am today (June 23) with fans flocking to pitch their tents and start the celebrations.
Early reports however say that the site is slightly muddy, due to the heavy rainfall over the last couple of days, but organisers are predicting a sunny afternoon.
Sunshine is also expected both tomorrow (June 24) and Friday (25), meaning that there is a chance of avoiding a mudbath.
Michael Eavis said: "There are quite a lot of people already on site - workers and the like - and it is pretty buzzing already, despite the rain. Because the ground is so dry, it has soaked up pretty well. The rain is predicted to clear this afternoon and the sun to come out."
Extreme measures are also apparently being taken by the festival to keep the rain at bay.
According to BBC News, a spokesperson said that Eavis is to employ a cloudbusting gun, inspired by Paul McCartney's recent display of weather control during a concert in Russia.
The former Beatle was playing in St Petersburg when he sprayed dry ice into the rainclouds to keep his fans dry.
Eavis is allegedly digging out his own home-made cloudbuster - last used at the festival in 1971 - which was designed by 1960s psychologist and inventor Wilhelm Reich who believed that 'orgone radiation' from the atmosphere caused clouds to turn to rain.
The machine would be used several miles away to "break up" the clouds before they reach the site.
The spokesperson said: "It is a bit of a joke. In a way it is using psychological powers to keep the rain away. He's (Eavis) still trying to get the machine working."
As previously reported on NME.COM, England's Euro 2004 clash against Portugal tomorrow (June 24) will be shown on a giant screen onsite.
Police officers will also be patrolling the grounds of Worthy Farm this year on mountain bikes to help keep last year's diminished crime figures even lower.
This year's festival will see headlining performances from Paul McCartney, Oasis and Muse. NME.COM will be on site from tomorrow, so make sure you click back for all the latest news, reviews, pictures and gossip.
