@Mipps: Well said. I'd put the marker at 11 minutes, though.

That's the length of one of my old tracks too :)
But considering length and awesomeness, the Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble remix of Oasis' Falling Down by Amorphous Androgynous is truely an epic track of a track. About 22 minutes long and full of psychedelic moments such as sitars, strings, synthesizer noises and fantastic drums.

I feel this is epic, but it's only 9 minutes long.
(I couldn't find it on youtube, so I uploaded it.)

These are a couple of sweet tracks that i've really got into recently.
Silvia (Felix Da Housedcat Remix) - Miike Snow
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=PmVKAXtkvi8
If i didn't know who remixed it, i would have guessed adam freeland. got the same feel to it.
You Used To Hold Me (Nero Remix)- Calvin Harris
http://www.youtube.c...feature=related
I'm not the biggest fan of dubstep, but i find most dubstep remixes i like are done by nero
Last up
Stylo (Alex Metric Remix) - Gorillaz

Enjoy!

No one's mentioned the most epic dance track ever made...
Faithless - Insomnia (Monster Mix)
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=1GmLCj1jLm0
[ the Eric Prydz remix of their new track 'Not Going Home' sounds pretty epic as well (as well as Faithless original)... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=7v25bst8_Ys ]
Another epic classic n imo the greatest dance song ever made...
The Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea

Felix Da Housecat - Silver Screen Shower Scene (Thin White Duke Remix)
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=8EF9oOSJGhM
The Guitar Bassline (2:35) brings it to epic level.
Ramilson Maia - A Busca Da Vida
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=WHmPGKqmfzc
Dn'B, goes from nice liquid funk to evil ass breakdown (4:00ish).
Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control (Soulwax remix)
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=jsdLouWEuYg
One that I still love to drop.
Dj Touché - The Paddle
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wrZrGh05zek
First of, this is Fake Blood 2004ish....Second it's cheeky and large
BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down (Hybrid remix)
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=HlXRo9kkU18
I know everybody loves Finished Symphony (including myself). It had something missing in it though. I think the version in SSX Tricky where they add the extra bass was the best mix but it's hard to find. This version of NGCBD had that part that drops out, brings in the haunting strings, builds up with the drums and eventual vocal loop, and releases.
Boom Boom Satellites - Moment I Count

Insomnia is an obvious choice though I prefer the album version.
On the same album 'Reverence', Salva Mea is also epic :

Neither really epic nor a dance track, but quite essential in my opinion is Children by Robert Miles :
