Sunshine Underground... not on Setting Sun. hmm, what else?
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

that sound in the beginning of setting sun isn't if that's what you're talkin about. However, I am almost positive they use it in SSU, if that is a sitar, it's really high notes

I know that the beatles tomorrow never know (the main inspiration to setting sun) starts out with a droning sitar noise. Setting sun has a lot of layers and is a real analog fest. I'm guessing if they used it they probably added some major effects. I hope they use a sitar again on the next album, i know I've said this on the old board but all my fav tracks have one on it. It's almost as important as putting beth orton on a track... hmm what if the sitar and beth orton were on the same track . Probably not good since the songs with her so far wouldn't sound good with one
