And here I was expecting to go on another political rant, instead I got a good laugh instead. Much better than subjectinng everyone to my political tirades anyway. ;)
Is this for real?? I honestly can't believe it - you have got to be kidding me!!

Imagine what it's like for him to be leading your country!!!
*sigh*
I'm surprised the disenfranchised half have put up with so much. I just wish there were protests on the scale of those against the Vietnam war.

Well in my town, you can go down every Saturday morning and protest the Iraq war! Though the numbers have been dwindling over the months. I admit it's been ages since I've been down there myself.
After the re-election, people were so shocked and angry and vigilant to do something for change. It was a real blow, I was very upset but also very foolish to think anybody learned anything over the past 4 years. If people (who think like me) spoke their minds and made their anger and disappointment over the election known, then they were called pussies, complainers and terrorist sympathizers. But it's the same shit, different day. It seems our memories are short and people just want to get on with their lives - so the interest in politics that was there a few short months ago is nowhere to be seen except on bumper stickers. The whole election and the whole campaign leading up to it... it was just a filthy few months of mud slinging day in and day out. The whole thing was mentally and physically exhausting, and people are just burnt out.
I think things have simmered down, the initial shock is over the disenfranchized feel beat down. Like a "what's the use?" sort of attitude and that's really sad.
