Ohh, got my promo copy of WATN in my mail box some seconds ago. It's such an incredible piece of simple but nice arwork! I'm loving it. Let's hear if there's some differences between this and official one. I'm frickin' excited right now.

i'm still waiting for the album to hit the shelves just for the artwork - got the promos long back and coverart is definitely pale once we've seen what's really in store.

I believe the intro from Do It Again is slightly different on the promo-version.

Hmm, couldn't hear any differences by now. I thought the intro lyrics were the ones from Pete Tong's show but they unhappily aren't.

@JAck: I can't really decides which one i'm liking more. The promo cover's just looking so simple but kewl. Can't get over it right now :lol:

Maybe I don't like it much because I've got another 10 copies lying on me! :p Nah, seriously, it's too "minimal" :p compared to what they finally did with it.

The lyrics are changed - I'm still hoping they got the approvals or whatever and it's the original DIA opening sample on the album. The japan version I downloaded and the promos I have are "Let's turn this thing electric".

Anyone with the actual album can shed some light on the release lyrics?

It's: "Let's turn..."

Maybe that was part of the sample clearance... A shame though! But turn something electric is right on as well!

I clearly remember the original version Tong played had funk in it. Funk electric.

Only when I got the promos from Virgin (no I don't work for them - am helping them do some marketing for the new album) did I realise it was changed to the video/ radio version on the promos too - also on the japan version. I guess it's final then. What a shame.

Yeah JP is "let's turn" ... guess only the original promo will have the original lyrics. Ho hum.

It's "turn this thing electric" on the US single and itunes download.

I prefer "funk electric" myself. It just sounds more groovy rolling off the tongue.

The promo artwork was just the framework, the footprint - what they did to it is nuts! It's faaaar more psychedelic - the way Chems' artwork are meant to be.

Also, I want funk electric back!

Whirls - it's "Let's" turn this thing electric - positive. I haven't heard it on my US single vinyl tho, (I keep playing Clip Kiss on that! :) )

but I'm guessing they'r all the same now.

I like both artworks. But the final looks like they took more time then the promo.

I liked the promo artwork, but when I saw the final product I was really... stoked! :lol: I think it's cool, lush, trippy and something you can gaze at and get lost in. I think it's a wonderful compliment to the album.

But it's quite cool there's promo artwork and then the finished product. It's good for the collectors!

Nope I really like both of them. But when I first saw that promo cover on eBay it was just like "push the buy button, gogogogo, push push push". And the best is: it cost me less than 6 pounds (net something about 4 pounds).

Whirly, now that i've got to copies, shall I send you my original one for the reason you they're still don't have the album in stock? Let me know.

nah. the full artwork pops more. promo isn't bad, but it's like all the other promo releases... it's a "part" of the final graphics... (whether screened, or a limited version, or sepia, or whatever)
