Yeah, that round podium with the screens stetched all around created a cool visual effect for the live Come With Us gigs.
It really does resemble a spaceship, and the result of the images being projected right up there with the Chems was an extra added visual bonus for the audience.
I read that the stage designer for that tour heeded Tom and Ed's request to create more open space on the stage. During Come With Us their gear did look a more organized on stage, the forefront had a very clean and streamlined look not this jumbled mess of this and that and wires going off everywhere like before. Not that I minded the chaotic look onstage - whatever works!

I remember watching them build the stage when they played the main stage at T in the Park in July 2002. We all had a right laugh because we thought they were going to perform inside a huge breakfast cereal bowl. It was quite visualy effective though with all the images projected on it but I prefer this years set up with the giant LCD screens and lasers.
I can't wait to see them a week on Friday in Glasgow. To my knowledge its the first time the Chems will have played Scotlands biggest indoor arena the SECC. I wonder what changes they'll have made to the set list for these December gigs?
