There was a topic about Ed Bangers, and Institubes is the other fast-growing French electro label, so I had to create a topic :)

Major artists :

Para One

Surkin

Tacteel

DJ Orgasmic

Das Glow

Bobmo

What you've got to listen :

All the 4 tracks on the myspace, you'll have a good idea of how good this label is

I forgot to say what I think about the label :)

I think I like it even more than Ed Bangers.

Para One's Epiphanie was my favourite album of 2006, his Live sets are very powerful and mindblowing, his remixes, just listen to them, it's impressive

Surkin : even if he looks like a kid, he's got everything of a giant

Tacteel : very good sounds, especially Feel it Feel it EP

Das Glow : very good minimal

Orgasmic : the name says it all :)

the only institubes artist ive checked out is Para One. His material is really good, but his remixes are "hit or miss" for me.

The best remix (IMO) is that Elle Blesse (Para One Remix). If I heard that in a club, I think I would explode.

And if figures Para One is visiting my town, but its before I turn 21....so i miss another artist i wanna see because of age restrictions

I really don't get this "repeat a sample as fast and as often as you can" movement; just not my cup of tea.... or maybe i'm getting too old. X-D

institubes guys sound great! not really a cohesive sound for me, labelwise, but they seem to just be classic techno dudes. dj orgasmic seems cool, ghettotech stuff.

that's the only bad thing about Para One's live. he often hits the beatrepeat button, but he does it way too much. Sometimes it does a fantastic result, sometimes it's awful (mainly when he's drunk :))

I finally listened to all the links of this Ed Banger stuff and institubes that Irish has send me ( Thnx loads! ) but i cant say i really like it that much. Not really my cup of tea. But at least now i know what u guys talk about. Its a bit too...well how can i say it. Its not "deep" enough , its a bit flat for my likings. If that makes any sense X-D
