It's been a bit chilly even by S. California's standards, but compared to you all who reside in the great white north, I don't have cold's address.

Snuggle down for the winter, folks. It sounds like you're in for a cold one. brrrrr!

Move over mX, we have another nude maruader on the forum!!

You would laugh your butt off if you came to California during the winter. We in So. Cal are are so thin blooded. When the temperature dips below 72 degrees, people complain about how freezing it is and out come the ugg boots, scarves and sweater cardigans (paired with midriff tops, go figure)

Anyway. The coldest winter I spent in recent memory was in Minnesota. I don't mind cold weather I actually prefer it, but that was a tad extreme for me. Just going to the grocery store involved bundling up in 5 layers of clothing and attempting to faux figure skate on the ice covered parking lot while trying to walk into the store. Then taking off 3 layers of clothing once inside the store. What was even more a pain was having to put my son in a snow suit everytime we left the house.

Yup. Snowfall all afternoon. Temp is around 1 C (34 F) and it is CHILLY in just a hoodie and jeans. Even my shoes aren't thick enough.

I think I'm going to spend most of the evening in front of my girlfriend's fireplace with a bottomless mug of hot chocolate and the same in green tea.

I forgot you live in Canada :-// . I really shouldn't be complaining, compared to the artic blasts u's guys get up there.

And like Whirly says, I dont mind the cold temp weather so much. Its the winter clothes, shoveling, preparing the car in the morning (scraping the windows and defrosting the car ), and shorter days that really suck!

heh, it's all good. Everyone has a right to complain, just get used to me complaining for the next 6 to 8 months. :D

Currently -4 C, with the windchill it's -11. And my car may be fucked again, so here's hoping I don't get stranded on the way to school.

I don't understand people who live in places where the weather can kill you.

Just doesn't make sense to me.

Cold weather calms the society. There are -for an example- no gangs loitering around outside when the temperature is -20 C.

No, they don't need to mug you when they can just pick through your pockets when you lie dead face down in the snow.

'stash, my theory is that the immigrants were aiming for the West Coast, but much like Hitler's armies in the winter of 1942, they got bogged down by winter and suffered losses by attrition. By the time spring came around (like sometime in July, say), there wasn't enough immigrants left to carry on over the continental divide. They then just settled in the prairies and waited to die.

Unfortunately they lived and had offspring, leading to me being stuck in this frozen hellhole.

It was fucking hot here today. We went to a koala park and the koala's were lying on the ground - they are tree animals so that's not good! - because it was too hot for them too quickly.

Oh , i kuddled a koala. It was so adorable , i cannot explain how cute it was. I have pics of it , i'll post it all when i get home.

SO CUTE!

I don't want to hear that kind of post right now, Jeanie. I'm very upset. No, just kidding. Glad you're having good weather. Wish I had more wine to warm me up.

Well the type of weather were getting right now is, its 70 degrees one day and then the next day its 30 degrees and snowing. Then after the snow it bounces back up to around 60 degrees and then back down to 30 degrees the next day. Its all fucked up, resulting in nasty colds for everyone.
