Doherty's erstwhile bandmate Carl Barat from the Libertines has formed a supergroup called The Chavs.
The Chavs includes The Charlatans' Tim Burgess, Primal Scream's Martin Duffy and Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows.
:D

A 'supergroup' consisting of Libertine Carl Barat, The Charlatans' Tim Burgess, Primal Scream's Martin Duffy and Razorlight's Andy Burrows has come under fire for calling themselves The Chavs.
Apparently there is already another group with the same name and they are now taking legal advice regarding ownership of copyright.
Tom Urzi, singer with the original Chavs, told music station XFM that he had read Barat was planning on recording a double album under that name with a view to releasing it in 2005.
Urzi claimed his band had formed in 2003 and have already released an album, "Angry Sex" on their own Manic Squat Ltd label.
Barat's Chavs recently played a secret gig on December 14th at the Tap And Tin in Chatham.
Urzi said he intended to legally "prove prior use" of the name to stop Barat's outfit from using it, as fans may be fooled into buying music or gig tickets for the wrong act.
He told the station: "They're peddlers of naff indie and we're purveyors of quality rock."
He went on to say that he'd like to stage a battle of the bands contest at Shepherd's Bush Empire to allow fans to vote which band was best and deserved to keep the name.
