I just saw on a post about the prague show that the setlist changed up a little. Do you guys think the setlist will be the same from the night before? Either way it is outside and i might go just for a different venue and vibe

got tickets to the hamerstein and am on the fence about going to the brooklyn show. I am coming up from philly and will need to crash somewhere if I decide to stay over.

so that talk of the prague setlist change was not from the previous show? It would be cool if they slipped some of the older stuff in there.

I remember in 99 some of the exit planet dust tracks were played in Philly. Can I expect to hear any of those?

You can expect anything from them, they will change a bit their setlist during the tour as usual (in 2005 they played The Sunshine Underground, Chemical Beats and even Come with us at their last shows) but except one bonus track (Hold Tight London or Got Glint for example) they won't change the setlist. But seeing them twice in 2 days is still worth any penny :)

yeah with all the syncing with lighting and video I wouldnt expect too much of a change. I guess adding a song would be the easiest way.

and yeah irf I can swing it with work and $ I will be at both shows. I think the hamerstein will be where it is at tho

keef if you can swing it and nothing is holding you back, then you should - by all means - GO!

You never know when you might have another opportunity to see the Chemical Brothers back to back like this. :)

You should be lucky that you get to see them at all.

i'm on whirly's side on this one.

If you are close enough and have the money/time to go, why not?! I mean, its been at least 5 years since they were in the states last... might be another 5 before they get back ((which would be quite a shame))

The Chemical Brothers did a handful of US dates for Push The Button. Not a lot, however they did do some. But if you blinked, you might have missed them. ;) Bet to catch the Brothers while you can and are able. DO IT AGAIN, keef040.

how would anyone here possibly know what the chems are going to do in the future? seriously? I would guess each show would be slightly different @ the very least....

if you haven't seen, their shows are relatively complex and not exactly jam band status of impulsively picking tracks. it probably takes months of setting up and the chems have no real incentive to switch up the shows for the us audience from the europe ones. I think they provide an excellent set list full of amazing transitions and no something they can plan every day. The encore is more flexible since it doesn't have to be mixed like the rest of the set. The shows do vary in some stuff regarding the work they do on the stage, which does reward the highly intrigued live collector, but the song order is usually the same, with the adding or dropping of a tune once in a while.

how we know this is from previous years dating back to the Exit Planet Dust era. They did last tour switch the set list for a series of brixton shows, but those were kinda far away from the main tour

Any time you can see two shows, back to back, within an hour's drive of each other, you are morally compelled to do so, for the sake of us forumers who aren't so lucky. :)

Go see the first gig sober, the second loaded on pills. *shrug*
