"Daft Punk will release a new live album titled Alive 2007 on November 19, 2007. It will contain the duo's performance in Paris from their Alive 2007 tour. The album will include a 50-page digi-book showcasing photographs shot while on tour. The live version of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" from the new album was released as a single. A music video for the single directed by Oliver Gondry features footage shot by 250 audience members at Daft Punk's Brooklyn appearance at KeySpan Park, Coney Island"

This looks amazing! And the artwork is awesome!! Any thoughts on the new album?

I would judge you but i'd do the same with Radiohead or the Chems, so you will not be judged today. Court adjourned.

nice... daft punks shows are really well put together. Saw Interstella 5555 last night for the first time. Thing about daft punk is i heard their coachella show before i heard any of their albums, so it was kind of funny to hear their live stuff followed by their studio stuff and hear all the rearrangements they did.

Ive been excited for this for a while!!

Daft Punk are the guys that originally got me into electronic music. The first time i saw videos and heard recordings of them live, i was in complete shock. Their live shows, as Biff said, are definitely very well put together.

Likewise - should be some album if the bootlegs are anything to go by.

Was listening to Alive 97 the other day, and that's still a cracker. Passed it on to my neighbours son, who's a mere 20 years younger than I...

Can't wait for this one to hit. I'm watching/listening the Coachella '06 performance all of the time. I saw them live aswell last july for the first time. Absolutly great.

Watch out for the limited 2 disc edition which features the encore on disc 2.

Also Electroma will be released the same day.

Yep, can't wait, I know Daft Punk get a lot of negative vibes on this forum, but I can't falter them for their work and live show. I just wish they'd focus more on the music instead of the superhero animated bollocks films!! Stick to what you were good at, and knock out an album to rival Homework! Not a months pissing about (Human Afterall) which I do quite like, but could have been a lot better. Looking forward to the live cd as I'm all for dance music being brought to the stage to prove it will always have a place on earth!

I'm not a fan of Human After All as an album, its probably one of the most disappointing albums I've heard, but I think the tracks on there work really well live. I remember somebody on here saying DP intended the album as a kind of tool for their live shows (or DJ sets?), I can definately see where they were coming from after seeing their shows! 8)

Yeah I can see that too Marsh, it deffo works well in the live show, steam machine sounds really dirty and funky live, and technologic sample will be one thats dug up and used over an over I'm sure!

But if this was the case, maybe an EP would have been a better move, it mihgt not have got such negativity. I know Tom Rowlands was saying he thought it was a good album and I'm sure he wouldn't just say it, but it's difference in opinion.

Human after all was ahead of its time. If you listen to a lot of Ed Banger stuff, Human after all was definetly an inspiration for that. I like it better now than when it was released. Certainly it works great in their live shows now. It's incredible how they can close the gig with a track is a mix of 3 tracks, 1 from each album, amazing.
