It's snowing mad outside. This is fucking ridiculous!!!!!!!! :? :?
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Bwahahaha!

She'd have to be quite wrecked too if she'd marry a man who just got done barking at her.

I mean, come on. I understand the drunken, primal wolverine-like howl is the mating call for some strapping young men, some men simply can not maintain and women laugh (yes, they are laughing) at those types - but you know, this is not the way to a earn a lady's keep as she doesn't like to have her feminine sensibilities offended by a grown man barking at her. Woo her first, tell her how great women are and how much superior they are to men, how much smarter they are, how behind every good man is a great woman, and all that - then later on when you're in bed, make all the primal noises you want!

Worked for my husband. ;)

*pats iguanapunk on the head* I know you're a good boy, I have faith that the women in your family brought you up well. ;)

I guess the pendulum swings both ways. On Friday night I went to get some Indian food and we were seated at this table behind this guy who was really trying his hardest to woo some lady. You could tell it must've been some AOL date, as they were briefing each other about the basics of their childhoods/teens/college years, etc.. The clock was ticking, and the woman's interest was waning, he was losing her, so the man goes into hyper-woo mode. For 20 minutes we (meaning, everyone in the restuarant) had to listen to this guy's diatribe about how great women are "the most wonderful thing a woman can do is produce a life from her womb!" (it's like, come on man, I'm trying to eat saag paneer here!) and "women really are smarter than men because they are so much more sensitive and in touch with not only their feelings, but a man's feelings as well." and blah blah blah. The thing was the guy was being really sweet, I felt for him, I really did, he was trying so hard to be the perfect understanding date but the woman couldn't get a word in edgewise and the pungent smell of desperation was enough to knock out the smells of Indian cooking. Quite a feat.

If I ever should have another date, I should bring you as my personal advisor. :)

That said, I almost had one two weeks ago. Unfortunately she had to cancel it - I phoned her up after that and sent her a message asking for another day, but she never replied afterwards. After all, from what I know we are too different from each other anyway - she likes parties, dancing and having a drink or two too much. ;-) And she listens to black music. 8O

Sad, sad c-Row. :'(

oh man, you had a lucky escape there. Women who listen to that type of music have an attitude and tend to shake their head from side to side too much.

Stereotypes abound - not always a most wise assessment... And that's all I'm gonna say about that!

Saag paneer is my favorite Indian dish. It's what I order when I go out to an Indian restaurant. There's also this chickpea dumpling dish (can't remember the real name) that's really good too, but the restaurant I go to doesn't always have it on the menu. Oh, and I love samosas too!

I'll be sure and look you and your mother up when I get to Detroit, so tell her to make a bucketload of saag paneer. I'm eternally in the mood for Indian food! I'm hungry now...

@ C-row: Latest:Monster Magnet?

Did you buy their last album. Any good?

I don't know the newest stuff they make.

I like the old stuff though.

Do you also listen to Fu Manchu???? (also great band)

About Afrika and howling (maybe also at women.)

Some years ago (beginning of the 90's) there was this song.

It was a House/techno song.

Vocals on this song were like:

Hoega Hoega Hoega Tjaka, Hoega Hoega Hoega Tsjakka, etc, etc.

Going first at slow speed and after that going faster and faster.

I very much liked that song.

Especially on the dancefloor. Howling along.

Does anybody have any idea which song I'm talking about?

I think if you liked "God Says No" (especially "Silver Future" and "Melt") you will like their new album as well. Can't compare to the older stuff. They tend to play around the same set of chords within a song with not too much variation, but it still rocks.

My tip: Unbroken (Hotel Baby)

Don't know about Fu Manchu, no.
