Yeah, I can see some cities banning bands playing music that isn't Celine Dion or Barbra Streisand.
Lots of cities in the US have steadily been cracking down on clubs and venues that hold parties, raves, concerts. The laws have become strict, and the liabilities are really high. The penalties for any little thing that may go wrong are too risky for a lot of venues and promotors. It's part of the wasteful war on drugs really, plus there's the public disturbance factor - and also I feel it's a move on the part of government to prohibit events that may attract protests and rallies.
I don't know if the Chems have been banned from certain venues or cities. But I do know quite a few years ago, the city of Irvine (California) banned the Grateful Dead. The city said it attracted low lifes and there was too much violence and drugs. If anything the environment inside the venue was controlled at least, and any violence came from idiotic jocks who crashed the parties and picked fights with the hippies. And the Irvine police who have the same mentality. I mean, come on! I went to Jerry Garcia show where all the dead heads were and I couldn't spot a mean-spirited soul in the place. It was all mellow and good. Yes, there were a lot of high people and I mean a LOT. But everyone was cool and respectful. It's a shame cities don't look at the bottom line, and that is revenue. Concerts and parties that attract crowds are really good for business in the area.

I really don't think the Chemical Brothers are banned from anywhere in the U.S.
I mean, don't you think we would know if they were? Like, so we could go protest and riot and shit?
I think most americans are just too lame to appreciate Tom & Ed, so they don't feel obligated to come here. Except for Whirlygirl. They come to Coachella just for her ;-)

Jeanie Escribi:
I heard a rumour tom is actually bin laden's european cousin.
*Just a rumour*
nah. you got that rumour wrong, jeanie. actually, tom and ed are robots, made by bin laden, to bomb the world into pieces with the best sounds there are
*just a rumour, of course*
love is all.

They're aliens.
They're testing their advanced, alien mind-control devices on crowds of concert goers.
Seriously, how else do you explain their ability to make 10,000 people jump in the air, pump their fists, cheer or go dead silent all at the same time?
they have sp0000000000000ky powers.
