fuck i would kill to see this, daft punk and chemical brothers....
i hate you
i had a dream last night where the chems were playing in my city (Canberra, AUS) which is highly unlikely and they opened the set with some amazing awesome new song that was in fact off the chain. but their rigg fucked up about 3 mins into the song and they left the stage. then i went and met ED he was nice enough, but a little "call it as you see it"
anyhow the new song was absoloutely amazing (what i head of it) and i cant wait for their new album.
but yeah daft punk wont even come to australia, even though they said they would... maybe chems and daft punk will come down here together.
what ev, as long as i get chems again ill be happy

Yeah, I read about this today. I don't know if I'd kill to see this, but I'm definitely, definitely in absolute jealousy of anyone who gets to see Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers at the same festival.
Without a doubt, my #1 and #2 performers that I'd love to see... The Chemical Brothers being the first, of course...

just bought my ticket. Didn't even think twice about it. Just going to have to spend a load to get from the bottom of cornwall to Glasgow, and then inverness.
Disapointed that Daft Punk are playing though becasue they are shit. I have seen them live so this is a valid point. They ARE SHIT.

i was open to them when i walked into the tent but as soon as i started hearing it i really wasn't all that impressed. The idea of playing different samples from different songs on top of each other was a good idea but it really didn't work. All you could hear was a fudding 4X4 for 2 hours. It was only when Da Funk came on that i started enjoying it. ALso i couldn't stand all the hype that was going round at the time about how these were the best sounding group around when that was cleary bollocks. And half of that hype was from people who hadn't even seen them !!!

Apparently it wasn't even Guy and Thomas in them costumes. That's just a rumor though. I really liked their set, although the more I listen to them the more I think - Yeah I'd love to see them again [They're also doing Oxegen]. But then whenever I'm not being brainwashed by their tunes I don't really seem all that up for them, I mean their good and I'd recommend them to anyone who ain't seen them.
About their concert - I thought it was excellent - I enjoyed myself. Still doesn't beat the Chem's though 8)

Who gives a toss about Daft Punk, they're on the Sunday anyway. All you really need to be concerned about is the fact that the two greatest dance acts in the history of music are one after the other on the Saturday night - Groove Armada then the Chemical Brothers against, without question, the most amazing natural backdrop of any music festival. Nuff said. Got my tickets earlier on tonight
Ps 2 Many DJ's are on before Groove Armada. Even if you live in Antarctica I'd start thinking about selling off major organs to afford to make it to this gig.

i think the question should really be who will rock harder the Chems or the Armada. Daft Punk have done some great tunes but they're no where near being in the same league as the other two. When I saw the Chems and Groove Armada play one after the other at T in the Park in 2004 is was a very close run thing between who was better. The Chems were way more full on (as you would expect) But Groove Armada have the full band thing going on and really rocked.
