Death From Above 1979 - Romantic Rights (Erol Alkan mix)

Love Erol's punk/indie aesthetic. If I'm not too knackered, would love to catch Trash's 9th birthday party at The End on Monday December 2. Jeanie, I'm looking in your direction....... Definetly a play-it-by-ear decision.

The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds

Listening to 'Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld' while studying Pharmacy papers where every second word on the page is "drugs" certainly isn't putting me into the exam mood. Just waiting for some extraterrestrials to come down and beam me up. Take me away.

"Littl-lil-lil-lil-lil-lil-il-i-l-il-il-i- fluffy clouds........ when I was young I lived in Arizona and....."

Morrissey: You're the One For Me, Fatty :D

A mate (who hung himself) used to sing this when we went up town. I only found out today that it's a song by Morrisey thanks to Weirdcore.

Chemical Brothers - Anti-Nazi Mix

I dunno, this is awesome, but I might actually prefer BGWIO. I am in awe of the Chems mix of "I Think I'm In Love" that much that it's on even terms with The Reel..... almost. Anti-Nazi is also missing the Renegade Soundwave through Ultraviolet Catastrophe section that I love so much.

But The Reel is currently on as I listen to the end of Anti-Nazi and..... I dunno. They both rock me. Hard.

Damn Darkstar, that's what I'm thinking. That remix of I Think I'm In Love is one of my favorite songs, hand down. It's one of those tunes I could not live without.

It wraps me in sound and swallows me whole. It's truly a beautiful thing for my ears to behold. It's so near perfect it doesn't sound like humans made it, it sounds like the hand of god playing the instruments of heaven.

And I'm not even high right now.

haha so true whirlygirl. each and every chemical brothers song is so well crafted and mixed that it makes you think that 'there is no way humans could have made it". Their song structure along with the choice of sounds is just always so perfect that it is ridiculous. anyways listening to chems is a high in itself.see glint. now playing Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld..feels like i am on another planet...hopefully not uranus.

"I Think I'm in Love" has to be my favorite remix of the chems. To me it's a beautiful, blissful song up there with "Star Guitar" "Sunshine Underground" and "Surface to Air."

It was a great idea for them to put that as the last track on BGWIO. First time I heard it was at the end that album and I just put my headphones down thinking, "wow, that was an amazing track." It's really beautiful how levitating it is to hear.

Your both are so right, really!!!!!! It was like this -> 8O when i was listening to that song the first time. I was walking in the city when i decided to go into a music store where i found that awesome piece of DJ-Mix which i never heard before... and then right at the end this incredible track that blew my mind away!!!! I totally adore the way the synths and vocals come in gently with its over 3 minutes intro and then going nuts when the beat drops in! Can't get enough of it... That's a diamond in chemicals discography!!!
