I could not agree more! When I saw the Chems the first time, I was a fan. But after I saw them them do a gig... I was completely hooked. There was something I felt when seeing them live that was so special and big, and the crowd... Most of it plays out so clearly in my mind, bits and pieces here and there. It was so geat! All of it was something I hadn't experienced at other concerts before, at least not to that extent.

I got a chance to see the Stanton Warriors on Thursday night, is it worth it to drag my friend to check them out, or should we just stay at home?

I've seen the stanton warriors around 5 times now I think. Their ALWAYS out here. Maybe up to 3 times a year. Is it live? On new years day last year one of them can out and played a DJ set and it was a pretty half arsed effort 'cos he was still screwed from the night before.

its a DJ set but the entrance fee is pretty cheap....I may have to reconsider. Thanks for the heads up Kwiddle

Well if its really cheap then it wouldn't be too bad. The festival gigs are pretty good 'cos everyones going nuts but if you think it would be a low key crowd it might kill the scene.
Edit: Bwahh ha I just remembered how I thought that lyric in Pop ya Cork was Shit up the dice not Shake up the Dice. I thought "how do you shit up dice?" :D

I havent been around the forum for the banter... I dont like the new layout and the n00bs melt my head sometime, its the same shite over and over.
Anyway enough with the negativity, Its great to see new members and all that crack I really like it don't get me wrong newbies! But just stop melting peoples dome's for live set's and creating a new thread every 10 seconds.
Apart from that - I haven't really been around to experience the full wrath of the new swarm of members, but I love the new album, I love the Chemical Brothers, Ed is sexy these days. What could possibly go wrong?
I've been getting along - Finished my school year, done all my exams, hopefully i pull a A A C - which are good grades :)
Im livin up my summer days.. I should be going to see Pete Tong/Basement Jaxx/Happy Mondays/Scratch Perverts/Datarock this weekend, then I'll be off to Oxegen next week. Gonna be swell :)
Then parties of course, and I've been fuckin around on my decks and hopefully I can get out and blur some tunes at some houseparties. Ravecentral.
But yeah - You know I love all you guys anyway, just aint been around really.. dont like the new board:( Its hard to use.. well i think its been kinda hard to get used to.. Oh yeah and Chems in Trafalgar Sq. :D [I've mips to thank for that!]

We've missed you, Foxboy! Glad to hear you're living your summer to the fullest and are taking advantage of the gig events.
Forum has had its ups and downs, that's for sure - things even out then get nutty, then even out again. The new people who've stayed on board are quite cool, though!

Hi folks!
I have a stupid question - how long does typical gig take? I've found out that it will start at 7 o'clock, but there isn't any end time. The gig will take place in Prague. I would like to know this cause Prague is quite far, so I'd like to make some schedule..You know :)

Congrats on the job! Nothing beats the jingle jangle of money your earned lining your pockets.
And Mmmm. Thai food is good! It's complex, not everyone digs but I find it quite tasty. If you like spicy and if you eat beef, you should try the crying tiger (I'm sure they'd have that dish). stash orders it almost everytime.
Me - I like the more mellow pad woon sen and the pad thai noodles. The curries are good but be warned the spices because they might burn a hole straight through the roof of your mouth.
