Shutter Island and my Awesomazing Laptop
So facebook wasn't working last night while watching Shutter Island on my awesome laptop, here's what I had to say about the experience:

"I've had to pause this movie at 4min 29sec just to say I will be naming my first child BluRay Roarty. He/she will be in better resolution than the human eye can perceive and will be more expensive than your child. I'll then resort to IVF treatment to ensure the quintuplets - Centre, Right, Left, Rear R and Rear L - can accompany my first-born. While waiting on these I'll make arrangements to adopt a fat American named Sub. I've already booked private tuition at the Dolby Digital Home Theatre School.

Friends of the family will live nearby to help out with the chores, Conn Cable and his Hindi wife Hdmi. We'll even invite old Blue Tooth around to join us when the kids' grandparents are here to help out with grandma's hearing difficulties.

All this does, however, depend on the dissolution of my current marriage to Mr Philips' hideous offspring, Widescreen, who I now call Fatty behind her absolutely massive back. I haven't plugged her in months because I'm currently paying attention to a sexy young Laptop, XPS. She has so much connectivity I don't know what to do with half of it and she shows me things on her screen like I've never seen before!

I am only on the rebound with her though, my true aim is to get in with her extended family - the Flatscreens from Japan. Heirs to the Lucky-Goldstar fortune, they've recently arranged marriages with the likes of SkyHD and the Blu-rays. My overall wish is to hook up with one of these slim and vibrant models and I have my eye on one in particular, Oled. A beautiful display that seems to get brighter and slimmer each passing year and who I've recently found out is not against hooking up, in private, with the likes of XPS to give a bit of input on a cold, wet evening in for me and sometimes, my friends too! Excitement, I dare say!!

I don't know when this electric union could take place as yet because, quite simply, Oled is a high-class deal and is certainly not cheap. "

On a closing note, Shutter Island is a very good movie and Yes, I really do need to get a woman.

I was forced into watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World at the cinema yesterday, as I had previously made my case for not seeing it clear. Unfortunately, again* I was proven wrong and it was fucking excellent. Everything about it was brilliant, what an adaptation!

*I enjoyed Kick Ass too, much to my disappointment

Saw True Grit! Absolutely brilliant! Its' very edgy, witty, but stays true to the original. Hailee Steinfeld (Mattie) is one to watch...mark my words!

Even the Duke would be proud of this!

Best scene

Why L.A. all the time? Why not try Chicago, or Cleavland!

I knew Skyline was gonna be B-flickesh. Because the trailer for it showed footage of that same damn building over and over again.

As for Battle L.A.......it must be my affinity for Michelle!

I think he's a bloody genius, just look at Star Guitar. He is different, he Directs in his own way and his films have a real uniqueness to them. Trouble is, studio's have money and money equals power and The Green Hornet is a big brand if you like so maybe that's why the trailer didn't have that Gondry feel...

Enter The Void

Some huge bad trip

"The story is set in Tokyo and focuses on Oscar, a young American drug dealer who gets shot by the police, but continues to watch over his sister Linda and the events which follow on from his death during an out-of-body experience, floating above the streets of Tokyo and occasionally entering people's minds to observe their dreams."

Just watched Requim For a Dream (2000) again because a friend of mine hadn't seen it, and we're going to see Black Swan tomorrow. I managed to convinced him to come with me by showing him Pi (1998).
