Are they playing on the 3rd or do we know which day yet?

This festival is so perfectly timed. My year starts right after that weekend. I might even get a weekend pass since there are a few other acts I wouldn't mind seeing. I haven't been too excited by Moby in a while but I've always wanted to see a live show if it is anything like the live show on the 18 b-sides dvd

Im pretty sure its the 3rd Considering they'll be in New York the next night. Plus, there is a date listed in a link listed by Tom himself somewhere in this forum.

According to the website (which is working again) it says Moby will be playing a DJ set.

@Bosco & Nerdcore, See you both there. If either of you two would like to meet up, I'm an Illinois resident so I'd be glad to meet up. The 2007 show at the Riv was sick, this will surly top it!!!

Nerdcore, I pity your travel plans. But I suppose if you're from Detroit, Gary aint no thang. The link should be working, maybe try emptying cache.Edit: never mind, it isn't working.....Hm... maybe they're updating it.

we are only staying in Gary due to the fact we cannot aford to stay in Chicago, and we will be driving .
Hubby is not a fan of public transit ( which is sad IMO) We might only do one night .. though he is a fan of Moby as well..( I just want to stay the first night and only see the chems) Plus we both might have to go back to work the next day.

I'll start planning out a meetup of sorts? near the festival site. chin up folks its gonna be a blast!

I've been to Union Park for the Pitchfork festival so I'm guessing this festival will be set up in a similar fashion
with multiple stages. Let's all hope for no rain around Sept. 3 because that place can become a mess
very quickly.

The Chems had a great time when they were last in Chicago - I remember their site update saying 'Chicago, my kind of town' ;)

This festival sounds like it's going to be awesome!!

Anyway I don't think they are coming to Denver this time around. Here are the N. American Dates that we know of:

August 2010:

✴28th Fox Theatre, Oakland Chemical Brothers

✴29th Hollywood Bowl Chemical Brothers

✴31st Showbox, Seattle Chemical Brothers

SEPTEMBER 2010

✴1st Malkin Park, Vancouver Chemical Brothers

✴3rd Union Park, Chicago Chemical Brothers

✴4th Randals Island, New York Chemical Brothers

Ha, looks like Tom and Ed have made Whirly into a monkey's uncle  . Sticcs got his/her wish on that Denver date!

Any who, single day tickets are now available for the North Coast Festival. $35 a pop ( not including extra charges)

Other artists that play Friday the 3rd:
PAUL VAN DYK
PRETTY LIGHTS
PAUL KALKBRENNER
ORCHARD LOUNGE

Gonna be taking my brother for his first "real" concert. Should be a blast!

I'm from Chicago, and have never been to Union Park. Not even sure where it is yet. Has anyone seen a festival there before? Pros/Cons?

Too bad this isn't taking place on the Lake!

I just bought my tickets to this Chicago show. Just like Bosco, I'm taking my sister for her first "real" concert. So that means I can't do no heavy drugs before/after/during the show just alcohol but who needs that stuff anyways when you gots the chems.
lets meet for real this time =) I'll be driving from detroit just like nerdcore!

But this means i have to put the Hollywood ticket up for sale anyone interested just e-mail me.... pargeet7@hotmail.com

I was hoping for the Seattle/Vancouver back-to-back shows, but looks like that is not happening. Instead I bought plane ticket to Chicago. Looks like the Chem's won't be coming back down here to Miami or Florida again. I know it's kind of out of the way, but didn't Orlando, FL give them one of their first big breaks? Not that we are owed anything, so don't jump down my back, I'm just saying it would be nice if they would come back to Florida. If my recollection is correct the last live gig they did here was in 1999 in Miami at the Zen Festival. I know they did Ultra festival, but that was just a dj gig.

Anyways, I'm pumped to see the Chem's live again, bring it on T & E!

I've been to Union Park for the Pitchfork festival a couple times. That festival is set up with 3 stages, two being
close to each other and the third about a five-minute walk. It's not a very big place, like Lollapalooza. I'm guessing
it will be one-stage setup so everyone will just be milling around that area. It's a baseball field with a lot of
grass so we should hope there's no rain that day or the day before because it can get messy. Union Park is
right off Ashland Ave. I think, close to a train station and not far from the United Center.

Oh wow! Congrats on the little bun in the oven, hehe. Just think - if you feel up to seeing the Chems in September, you can get a head start indoctrinating your little one into the Brotherhood early. ;)
