Hmmmmmm....... just double-checked and my rotations don't start until April 30....

Wonder if I could pull off the first couple days while jet-lagged, sleep-deprived, and coming down?

This bears examination.

I'm getting really excited for the possibilities... Three days... Three headliners...

If both Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers show up I'm going to crap my pants with happniess. Then I'm going to cry because I crapped my pants.

Sweet deal spreading it across 3 days... oh the little town of Indio will surely implode!

If the Chems play one of those days, then you can count stash and me in!

I don't think I'd be able to go to the Sunday, as I'd have to be back home Sunday night for a Monday start. I also likely won't have the money if I'm buying a new car, but....

I rule NOTHING out. I still have been checking airline prices to get to London for NYE. Now that my snowboard trip is booked, the dream finally comes to an end.

Bah. Airfare is $615 to $760 depending on which airport I fly into. Too pricey. Flippin' airlines. Flippin' rotations. Flippin' flip. It's only a couple hundred more to fly to London, for the sake of a monkey's uncle.

I'm 98% sure that I'm going to one of the days, 89% sure that I'm going to two of the days, and 39% sure that I'm going to three of the days. These calculations may or may not be accurate.

My parents live in Redlands, which is about a half an hour away, so it's real easy for me to crash with them while I attend the festivities. :D

Is it that dear? Thought flying in the US is much cheaper...

Anyways, i hope for you Americans that the brothers will stop by because they neglected the US a little when touring . . . fingers crossed for you!

The first time I flew to Cali, about 15 months ago, it only cost $450 to Los Angeles. In April it cost about $575. Now it's at least $615. It's ridiculous.

maybe it's because it is getting closer to christmas time?! Some kind of seasonal extra charge?

Nah, the figures I checked were for April. And I flew from here to London for just under $900 at NYE last year.

Thanks for the crossed fingers, Csar! :) I am holding off on Coachella til I find out if the Chems are going to be there. Otherwise there is no way stash will endure the festival - not without the promise of Tom and Ed's presence. And I highly doubt stash would leave me up to my own devices and let me go alone.

But yeah, even flying US domestic is not really cheap even when you book in advance. And the world wonders why Americans are so isolated and don't travel as much as they should... I've heard Jet Blue offers really good deals. Do you know if they fly out of Minnesota, Tim? It would be really great to see the Chems with you again and party like rock stars... hopefully next time less outsider drama and cops a'knockin, hahahaha!
