for all you dj's or anyone who listens the chem's on headphones wich headphone do you prefere and what song('s) is(are) best on headphones?

mine absolute favorite headphone is the Sony MDR-V700DJ Studio Monitor Series:

i like it because it's a lightweight model and it's got a good price on it ($ 149.99)

also it has got a good noise reduction by it's greatly shaped cups

and the song well i think I'll have to go with private pshychedelic reel one of the best mixed down songs of the chem's

Mine too!
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

They look rather impressive, but at 76 pounds that's phukin expensive! Mine were around 30, made by Technics, sound quality is very good.

I once spent around 60 on a pair of Sony wireless headphones but had to send them back because the hiss was too loud. I'm not sure if the device was faulty, but I have to hear music as crystal clear as possible and the hiss was louder than the music :-|

I use Philips HP910.

Good all-around cans for ~$100.

I got the v700's as well. Amazzzzing headphones.

Everything sounds good in them, bass definition is great and really seals off outside noise. I always like listening to the Sunshine Underground in particular.

and not only the hiss, it's also quit annoying if your busy with a mix and your batteries give up....there you are with no sound on your headphones and only 20 sec away from the end of your record...

try the MDR-NC6 it's brand new and I love the noise reduction on it (70%--10 DB) and it's so cheap just order it on the I-net http://www.sonystyle.com

if you don't need it for dj-set's and you wan't to spend a lot of money (but you're money is worth it ;-) ) try the MDR-NC11 ($ 149.99 ) great in-ear concept

I use this one if I have to do the FOH

Thanks for the linkage but i''m not going to buy them, my Technics are fine, apart from I can still hear my mother shouting when I put them on :x

I'm hoping the headphones I get with the mp3 player I buy are good, every Sony pair i've had broke, but probably due to the fact I used to stuff them into my school bag.

These are the other ones I have got (Sony) that screw onto your ear. They do hurt after a while but the sound quality is good and the unique thing about these phones is the cable made out of material.

Please explain this -- I've had no trouble at all with them

Well I imagine it's all to do with if you do use them for DJing in clubs etc, the transportation is bound to effect the head phones. Unless Sneaker is speaking of a technical fault like the sound failing.

Listening to Bonkers on my Technics at the moment :D

Strange, I can get fairly abusive with them, sometimes. Plus, they come with a bag for transporting which they fold up into.

No trouble with sound quality ever.

IF you got the possibility, go to your local shop, take a Discman or Minidisc player with you (and a CD you REALLY know from A to Z) and try them yourself. It's a lot easier to decide with some familiar music playing.
