I'll write more about the Freestylers later - I absolutely love them. Absolutely agree they got some cheesy parts and vocals (the freestyling), but it's a slightly acquired taste and if u can get past the generalising u'll realise they'r really brilliant songwriters - maybe not ed n tom's level, but on their vibe, i find them very very brilliant producers and songwriters with brilliant tunes. and i love some cheese sometimes.

I think the Freestylers suck.
Just my opinion.
Will put some suggestions up here later =)
But one tune i can recommend to ya'll - Tom Chemical already mentioned it in his playlist - Battles / Atlas.
Its so fucking cool , and so fucking strange , and its just goes on and on. Its wicked.

Hey BUFFETT, about The Pills Won't Help You Now sounding more like a Midlake song than a Chems tune. When I first heard The Test, which I liked from the get-go, I thought it sounded more like a Verve song than the Chems. Being a Verve fan I thought I was right, that was my initial thought. I hear it now and know it's a Chems tune, it feels like the Chems and aside from the singing, there are elements that sound Verve-ish. But all in all - Chems tune, fantastic guest vocalist = The Test is awesome!
The Chemical Brothers seem to pride themselves on being able to tap into what other artists are doing...

The Verve couldn't have written a song like the Test ever - forget producing it - don't get me wrong I like a bit of their stuff here and there, but I think the Test is something Ashcroft could have never dreamt of doing in his career hadn't Tom n Ed decided to bless him. Check out the fuckin drums on that song.
I maintain the Freestylers rock. Jeanie - give their last album : Adventures in Freestyle a listen - some brilliant songs on that. Security comes to mind.

Hell yeah, I just got their album yesterday. Had only heard one review and this song but having listened to the whole thing now, I can say that they are a quality band. One of the tracks that really got my attention was Rainbow, all the weird timing in the album allows for some trippy sounds!
@Acidchildren, where did you see the Japanese Popstars? I've seen them live 3 times now(1 DJ set), they've always delivered.
