Don't Think

I agree that it does seem rather short now that you see it outside of the cinema. I guess that's the trade off of capturing it at a festival where the shows tend to be a bit shorter. They obviously picked a great festival to shoot it at though. A bit more original that choosing Glastonbury say. The Japanese crowds look so into it all.
As to the quality of the footage being really grainy. Its all low light hand held footage for the most part, I think the grainy look really adds to the atmosphere of it. It would just look like the usual TV coverage you get at Glastonbury if it was done any differently. A bit dull.
Its just a shame you can't recreate the volume of a Chems gig without seriously annoying your neighbours. I guess its nice being able to hear all the details you miss when its at massively high volume though so a good trade off there.

Is there a way where you can call your peeps that you ordered from, and have them deliver the correct one! I assume there will be a delay in getting it to your pad!

Try adjusting the sharpness, or maybe it's the transfer!

Maybe that won't help you but consider this: you may have the ultimate collector's item! THE 10" limited book with THE missing picture!

- the quality of the bluray is not what i expect from a bluray, all in all it looks like an upscaled dvd (i don't see any difference between the bluray and dvd on my player, except that the upscaled dvd doesn't have the convert artifacts the bluray has)
- on both the bluray and the dvd the picture is grainy at many times and often shows a lot of image noise which looks kinda weird because the scenes where the people are walking around the festival drinking, eating and looking at the visuals projected at the floor or a tree are in best hd-quality
- there are two times the segues between the songs are sounding like the next song was cut in instead of a chemical-like smooth segue (don't think => out of control & the begining of leave home)
- it is waaaaayyyy to short.
Hey pum, you using VLC and individual video card settings with it? I turned off all of that and it somewhat helped. I solely adjusted the contrast to make it a bit darker and reduce the gray haze.
Btw, are you able to use your mouse cursor with the right hand thumbnail pictures within the track select menu? Everything after, I guess Escape, is not responding to any clicks. I have to move there by arrow keys.

Another thing I wonder is: Both the CD and DVD have almost the same running time but yet have different editing. For instance, the segue between Believe and Escape is missing, no intro (I know, probably due to CD capacity issues). But then again, the DVD is about the same length. So, what happened to the rest in respect to the DVD?
Also, I'm really pissed about our German law makers who decided to have put on these ugly FSK labels for youth protection. The sticker was stuck so firmly on the cover that the material in that very spot had become wavy after I removed it. Can't they just put these labels right on the plastic wrapper?

Do you say your pics have been damaged? Everything's fine with cd lock mechanism with my paper back case. In fact, they're sitting pretty tightly in that (English term).

I bought the Limited Edition Japanese version, they only had 3 options, DVD, Limited DVD and Blueray, and mine is the smaller one like yours Ben_j. I was shocked when I saw Pum's picture. Now I need the bigger one, dammit.

That is the center picture in the book, and you should definitely contact your supplier to get a complete copy.

It's all very confusing, I see the same picture that is in mine shown in both this DVD sized edition and this Large Book Edition. Odd that yours is different.

That picture which is shown by the large book edition is a picture from the dvd sized edition judging by the shape of the actual book. It's looks smaller and the Saturate photo looks like an fold open page

I wasn't at the cinema for watching so i can't say anything to this. But after seeing inchemwetrust's linked video i'm not sure what to think about the grain. Still annoyed with the "colour blocking" artifacts, don't know if this is the correct name for it - talking about block artifacts you have on solid colour areas (like black sky) which you receive when converting dvd's to avi with poor converters and/or poor codecs. But you shouldn't have them on a bluray - that's why i bought bluray, to get an improved quality compared to dvd.

It sucks that some of you got mixed results and some not-so-good results!
I'm antsy right now for the driver to get here and bring me my copy! I assume my DVD sized edition will be altered as well after intensive inspection once it gets here!
