Of course, being a proud Canadian I decided I could handle the English weather without serious clothing and left all my winter stuff at home save for a couple sweaters and hoodies.

And, of course, I have now caught a pretty nasty cold. So, I'm taking it easy tonight I think. Had a full day of sightseeing and took in the National Gallery (wow!) and the Natural History Museum (had a couple Hey Boy Hey Girl moments, to be sure!) and most of Westminster/St. James/South Kensington. As well, I scoped out the 'spoons (see the Turnmills thread on this page for more) and Turnmills.

It's still really early here and I want to go out, but the smart part of me says to just chill, stay in, catch some sleep and be ready to get FUBARed all weekend. But I never listen to the smart part of me.... :) Ah well, that's what cold meds are for (thank you Tesco Express!).

So cool Darkstar, you were right where stash and I were last time we were in London. I dig South Kensington.

Sorry to hear about your cold, man. It's the curse of flying, I tell ya. Between the excitement, cold weather and hurtling through the atmosphere in a cigar tube with a bunch of stinking strangers breathing in recycled air wraught with germs/viruses/muck... Anyway. You need to take a trip into a Boots pharmacy (they're everywhere in case you haven't noticed) They make a good cough syrup for chesty coughs that really works like a charm.

I'm so sick of you arrogant Canadians, thinking you can just go wherever you want and just pay no attention to the weather!

Mia,

Life has been going pretty well for me since Coachella. I spoke to Jim really briefly around the first week in December. He sent me a text message that went something along the lines of "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS" I laughed cause at the time I thought it was you sending the message, for I had saved the the number under your name. I replied explaining who I was. I laughed. I was in the middle of finals and had to start a paper that was due in 6 hours so I did not want to talk for that long. Sent a message to Jim the other day wishing your family well, hope he mentioned it to you. Hope everyone here is doing well and doing something to make their life better in the future.

Cheers

X-D Yeah, stash told me about how he was filing through the old text messages and came across the 'mysterious' one from back in April, reading "whirly come with me and leave your hotel behind." And being the jealous man he is... sort of over reacted a bit but all was well when the memory of that fuzzy Coachella morning came back to him.

Hope you had a great holiday! And all the best for 2006 - if ever you find your way venturing down to S. California you know how to find us! :)
