i am from NORTH JERSEY> trust me. we're not all that bad. the paper is from the mountain area anyway. not ESSEX, thats the blood/crypt... soprano shit, stay out of essex unless your going to the airport. and even then stay inside the security guarded areaut . we do reap and pillage on tourists. but seriuosly we are nice people. but it is very strange to have an aricle about the chems in a NJ mag. wierd to say the least. let me find this person, and get the chems to play here in the U>S> sooner.

Personally, I live in midstate Illinois (about 2 hours south of Chicago)... so I am almost certain to have to drive a bit for a show. Hopefully, I will be able to hit a couple if they are nearby.
The last time I saw the Chem Brothers live was at a DJ Set in chicago during the Spring of 2003 (give or take a year), which was sponsored by a group called Pure [purefuture.com]. It was quite the good time -- filled with finding out at the last minute, a multicar pileup that got me out of a speeding ticket, and getting to the concert late... Which turned into having to wait in line for 90 minutes because a very "well connected" twerp got kicked out and called the cops to file assault charges. Unfortunately, that meant more attention got called to the already over-capacity bar and the bouncers stopped letting people in. Which was good for me because the line emptied out by people not expecting to get in.
In the end, my determination paid off and it was a good 2 hours of glory filled chem magic, and got to meet some nice austrian exchange students but alas, that was too long ago ( c:

And look for the long awaited US tour dates to be announced soon. The band are debuting their live show tonite so I'm sure there'll be lots of great feedback in the coming days here and at the website."
I'm growing tired of waiting for the US dates haha...It's driving me nuts...especially because they've been saying that the US tour dates would be announced soon for the past 3-4 months....Oh, and by the way, a lot of you guys forgot that they performed at Ultra.NY in '05, which was amazing (albeit technical difficulties)...I really wish they came to LA this time (suggestion: the Hollywood Bowl...ahhhh!)...

Hey igloo, Giant Village always sounds like wicked fun (especially the New Year's events they have), but I likely won't attend. The older I get, the harder it is for me to stay out all night in the outdoors plus I despise having to drive home from LA when all the drunks and loadies are behind the wheels.
The first rave I went to (1994) was very much like the Giant Village productions - but this one was for the filming of a New Years scene for the movie Strange Days. A few blocks of downtown LA (right in front of the Bonaventure Hotel) were quartered off and it was an all night party! I got to see Deee-lite and Aphex Twin among others and the whole thing was a giant freak show! So much fun, one of the best parties I ever went to!

Whirly...I can't believe you were one of those extras in that movie...that's great...I haven't seen or heard about that movie in ages haha...I just remember it was cool the idea of virtual-reality and re-living moments...Anyways, did you go to the Giant where the Chems played @ the Bonaventure? That was hectic haha...
