What a let-down the Carling Cup Final was!! I hate seeing those smug bastards lifting another trophy (not that I stayed in front of the TV long enough to see it of course!). The score made it look as though Man U played brilliantly, when in fact it was only cos of a couple of defensive mistakes by the Wigan defence.

Worst final since the one ten years ago when...in fact lets not mention that one!!

Read this interview with Peter Crouch: http://www.liverpool...060228-1457.htm

Seriously, how can anyone not love this guy? I really wish he could actually score, but I genuinely love the man even if he continues to lay goose-eggs on the scoresheet every weekend.

What a class act. Open, honest, genuine, big-hearted. Total class. Big ups to Crouchinho. I would love to meet him.

I'm sorry to hear that! I read the link you posted and it sounds like something fishy is certainly going on. Hopefully it gets straightened out before too long.

(Congrats Crouchy on your first international goal! :D )

Well, Chelsea did their best Liverpool impression today, if you ask me. A decent defensive performance marred by an utter inability to offer anything going forward.

Actually, that's too kind. Liverpool at least generates a couple chances that could be put away by your average 6 year old (but not by the sad lot of strikers we have...). Going forward, I wouldn't have been able to distinguish Chelsea from Sunderland today. Brutal.

And Ronaldinho's goal? Wow. To watch him run THROUGH Terry and blast it past Cech was something special. Sheer raw power and genius.

Congrats Barca, you earned it. Let's hope we get through to meet you in a few weeks.

Another injustice for my team...back in December we played Brodsworth MW (thats in Doncaster, South Yorkshire), we were winning 5-0 after 72 mins, shortly after the ref abandoned the game as the pitch was apparently too hard due to the cold weather!! We were forced to replay the match, its being played this Saturday. Lets hope justice is done!!

Then our ban starts....

yeah that goal was special, great to see chelsea not win a trophy.

Im sure Liverpool will get though tonight as will Arsenal. However I am hopeing to avoid Barca in the next round.

I'm not feeling all that confident about Liverpool getting through, to be honest. Our scoring as of late has been brutal. Thankfully it's at Anfield, where it should be another Great European Night ™.

And I actually hope we do draw Barca if we make it through. Either we'll win a legendary victory or we'll be completely played off the park and it will be apparent to the board that we need more funds to strengthen the team.

The absolute worst thing that could happen would be to draw a weak team, make it to the semi's and then lose: that way we would win nothing and the board could be somewhat justified in being tight with the old change purse in the summer as we'd have made the semi-finals.

Ugh. Just realized our sports channel isn't broadcasting the Liverpool game until tape delay at 11 PM tonight (5 AM English time), and is instead playing the Arsenal game.

I already have plans for tonight. Dunno if I should tape the game and watch it in the morning, or if I should check the result this afternoon online..... Or I could watch it online, I guess..... grrr

props to arsenal for there chamionps league game last night!!!

i thought they would come undone after all there hard work in madrid. but credit goes to them after playing 180 minutes of quality football, dare i say sexy football against real. they made a very exciting game out of a no score draw game. good luck for the rest of the tornament.

it makes up for the dull chelsea match the day before. i'm off to stamford bridge tomorrow for a stadium tour. it would have be a better experience if they had turned barcelona over. oh well

My team's ban will now not happen! Our owner Simon Clifford has appealed to the FA so the suspension has been lifted while the appeal goes through the motions :D.
