Speaking of In Glint, that cd is a bastard to find! I've only ever seen it once in the last 3 years (although I haven't checked ebay regularly since last July). It was on www.redeye.com.au a couple of years ago for about 45.

I'm not yet willing to pay those kind of prices for something I can download on mp3, but with my $50 USD purchase of Confront Your Demons promo, I'm getting there! :D

haha yeah, mine's not as bad as it was though, you should see some of the useless stuff I have in my collection. I don't even wanna think about how much I paid for some of it, in fact on second thoughts I can't remember anyway .

Yeah, I try to keep my collection to a strictly functional level: I research which releases will allow me to get the largest amount of new tracks and music on the smallest number of releases for the least amount of money possible.

Sure it's cool to have limited releases and early rarities and promos, but I can't afford all of those and ultimately it's all about the music, innit?

I dont even have all the singles. I heard all the tracks ( i think ) but i just can't be arsed to go on Ebay and buy stuff of there. I don't wanna start that addiction you know ! So whenever i run into something in the recordstore ( Like life is sweet single last week ) i'll pick it up.

have one copy of every release and that's it. have all b-sides and remixes but couldn't be arsed to get promos. what the point really but some have nicer artwork than the offical releases. surrender era promos are nicer than the offical release.

Amoeba is a shrine, man! I was overwhelmed and could have easily spent thousands had I had more funds available to me. It was where I spent the most money in California when I went down. All kinds of things available that I can't find anywhere else.

Amen! Amoeba is a shrine. When you walk through the front doors (or even up the back way through the parking garage) a choir of angels' voices ring out as a ray of God's pure sunlight smiles down upon that store!

And also what's cool about Amoeba is that the merchadise fluctuates - if they don't have what you're looking for this week, you can try your luck again next week.

Field trip, indeed.

more 'swiper'.

Shockingly I've yet to hear this tune. I spend oodles on globetrotting to see the Chems and I don't even have their latest b-side.

I've been busy picking up rare-ish singles from the back catalogue instead.

Yes, this b-side I have yet to obtain also. I have almost all their others except for DYOH ones, which I also want depserately. :( Rawr, so hard to get b-sides in the United States of Nowhere.

eBay is your best friend, man! That and Amoeba Records! Or Amoeba Records on eBay!

For tracks, I'm pretty much just missing a number of the remixes they've done for other people, a couple of the promo-only DJ sets (Paris/In Glint/Anti-Nazi) and the vinyl-only b-sides. I'm a big fan of the CD medium because I can play it in the car ... hence no 12" singles. If it's on CD, there's a pretty good chance I have it.

Which reminds me, I'll have to get on some FTP uploading action next week. Spread some Chemical love with some new goodies.

I would love you forever if you put the b-sides I don't have on the FTP, though that might be considered "illiegal" ^_~ lol.

What b-sides are vinyl only? Other than the EBWs and Dust Up Beats? Oh, yeah, another b-side I don't have : EBW 5. How different is EBW 5 from the other versions of It Began in Afrika? I have the other 3, just now EBW 5 and it really bugz me.

Let Me In Mate is a vinyl only B-side (Leave Home 12" Part 1), unless it appears on some compilation CD elsewhere...

Unlike you, I fell into the trap :p I'm often going on eBay or Priceminister and i'm like "ooh, a single that i don't have yet... and it's cheap "

But then it soon becomes 3, 4, 5 cheap CDs... And that's not that cheap in the end :?

I obtained that one (on Napster) a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It's pretty friggen sweet, and I'd like to have it on vinyl one day.

Or maybe on disc when the Brothers decide to make a Part Deux to go along with the Singles comp. ;)

Oh boy, do you know how much that would make my day if the made that compilation with all thier rare stuff, b-sides, and whatnot? I pledge to buy two of them if only they would make it.

And what the heck is the difference from EBW 5 and the other IBIAs?!?!

I'll do it next week, as it's spring break and I have nothing better to do than sit hungover at the computer with a triple voddie and CD burning software! :)

Of course, I do want to respect Tom and Ed's intellectual property rights as much as possible, so I won't be putting up anything from the Come With Us or Push the Button singles, as these should be obtainable for most people. But older stuff is often out of print and hard to find. Tom & Ed don't get any money if we buy it from a used record store anyways, so....

(And of course, Tom & Ed, if you object even to older stuff being distributed, please don't hesitate to let us know. I'd hate to step on your toes like that! )

As The Chems are released thru EMI who puts Copy Control on every damn record they sell I don't think they would like it that you are gonna upload copyrighted music. So don't or I'll contact RIAA. I'm so 3v0l y4r lolleromfg!
