Leave Home contains Blake Baxter's "Brothers Gonna Work It Out", Kraftwerk's "Ohm Sweet Ohm", and NWA's "Fuck the Police." It's the part where the bassline drops out for the first time and you hear what sounds like a girl talking shiti about something.

Niiice, I was going to mention that one, but you beat me to it. Just discovered it last year when listening to Radioactivity.. :)

Anyone think the opening sequence to 'Leave home' sounds like that of Kraftwerk's Ohm sweet ohm?

That answers my question then! :D

I gotta say, nice friggen trainspotting, Turbo Nutter!

I am not real great with trainspotting (I am quite shit with it, really) and even though things sound familiar, I end up getting so lost in the big picture - it's really great to have my ears opened like this!

Shit, forgot to mention a few more.

Commodore's Assembly Line, heavily filtered through a good sampler, will give you your "Uhh" on Chemical Beats as well. Spent some time with the HALion to figure that one out.

Haha, true! I think I've got the break from that (it's called assembly_line.wav), and I always had a suspicion one of the "uhh"'s sounded alot like the Uhh from Chemical Beats. Nice work! 8)

Another sample used would be Slow Ride by The Beastie Boys, which they used on the Voodoo People remix. Yet I'm still lost for words as to where the sample before the first 303 line comes in is from. It plays normal on Dust Brothers Mix, but is reversed and filtered in Chemical Brothers Mix. Probably for clearance reasons I suppose.

I noticed a sample from King Crimsons 1971 song "Fallen Angel" I think. On the song "The Boxer" on the new album.

which?

I honestly doubt they clear EVERY sample they use. Something like the Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique" would be impossible to create today with all of the legalities. Often times a sample is twisted so much by the time they finish with it that it's unrecognizable. Now a song like DJ Shadow's "Funky Breakbeat's" (don't remember the title clearly, could be wrong; it's about 28 minutes long) would need just about every sample cleared because it's all straight off the track.
