Got myself a nice Boss SE-70 effects unit. It's Liam Howlett's multieffects of choice, particularly for distortions.
I got to play a few minutes with it this morning and spotted a few familiar sounds, like that effect on Fatboy Slim's 10th & Crenshaw, at 0:39 :

I've just stumbled upon this rather interesting but short British documentary about the origines of synthesizers and synthesized music and EMS. Without them, the Bros wouldn't probably be here
