Whoooheee! Thanks Irish. Is the the battle scars rmx by erol going to be a little longer than the demo version of his Beyond the Wizards mix? That would be wicked!

im sure when Irish said "rejiggle" i think what he meant by that was the rework. i dont know, i could be wrong. but if that is what he meant im excited for that since i love ARR, but i also love long songs, (which some of you here already know) and i think the rework was like 7 somethin minutes. and then add some parts from the album version that arent in the rework using GarageBand, i could make a really cool 8 somethin minute version of ARR.

I think Chems songs have endless possibilities for a video anyway. Tbh - every song ever made has endless posibilities for a video. It's just that people are limited in their way of thinking. A 50 cent video would never look like a chems video, cause with a certain ' genre ' comes a certain limitation of video's. This is where one of my favorite quote's come in " think outside the box " and this is exactly what Tom and Ed allow the directors they work with to do.
Who could ever imagine a gymnast doing her routine for elektrobank ?

Yeah spot on, I'm glad you brought that point up Jeanie, a 50 Cent video contains the following ingredients: A large ontorage of Black home boys, The finest pimped up cars on the plannet, loads of semi naked women drped over these cars, CRYSTAL, and $$$....End of story, if Cent ever releses a video collection I wonder what really would be the point! Sorry, I'm on my soap box now, but this is the kind of crap my narrow minded mates listen too! Grrrrrr! I must relax, I'm not feeling well, minimal stress, minimal stress!

It would be great if the next single was WATN, but I strongly doubt it. Past experience have taught me that they dont always release the best track. I mean, god, I'm still bummed about them not releasing the private psychadelic reel. But hey, what they release as a single dosent really matter because I know ill still like them any way :)

Im with you Laurie, 100%!
I love Do it Again, amazing, the video, not so good, going for the comedy element!!
And again with Salmon Dance, slowly grown on me due to its release, however, still not sure why it was a single.
All rights is a total destroyer, I love it. It has to be the new single as it showcases the Klaxons, mush like believe did for Bloc Party etc.

I was extremely disappointed when i found out that TSD was gonna be a single. I thought it was pretty much a waste of time and money for everyone that had anything to do with it. If it were up to me, these are the 4 songs i would have as singles from WATN...
1. Burst Generator
2. We Are The Night
3. All Rights Reversed
4. Do It Again
and in that order

I think the two singles "Do It Again" and "Salmon Dance" make perfect sense. They are the two most appealing tracks for a wide range audiance, on the album.

what about a double single? ARR and Battle Scars?
plus, there is plenty of B-sides missing in CD format from the WATN era. Could end up being one nice big EP :)

Wow TJ that is a harsh assessment of The Salmon Dance. It's one thing not to like the song - you don't have to like it which is fair 'nuff, maybe it was a waste of your time and your money and not everybody has to like to like it. But it's another thing entirely to say Salmon Dance was a waste of time for EVERYONE/everything that had anything to do with it.
There's probably a lot of reasons why The Chems decided to go with Salmon Dance. One thing to I think of is they've always moved right along with each album and done something that was not what we were expecting. Having The Salmon Dance on the album was a very unpredictable move. They've never done a song like that before. And I listen to the radio from time to time and I'm not hearing anything else like The Salmon Dance on the airwaves. Tom and Ed also knew The Salmon Dance was going to have the camp divided. I myself love the song, but given how divisive it was and continues to be on this forum (and given how defensive I am of the brothers anyway) I'd be lying if say I didn't feel a twinge or 2 of nervousness. Not because I doubted the song, but I doubted the response which was based on my observations here on the forum. And looking back, that was wrong of me to judge... So if you like or hate the song - one thing it did do was unite us in our surprise when we found out it was going to be the next single. ;) It's just an opinion but releasing a single of the one song that ended up confirming The Chems' prediction was a fairly bold move. It's not one that many bands, nor their record labels, want the risk of taking if you think about it.
Or maybe I'm wrong which is highly likely and everyone's wrong and Tom and Ed just dig the song and are proud of it, and just enjoy fucking with us. ;)
With that said - I know there's been talk here of people wanting more instrumental tracks from the Chems so with that,, would you mind if another vocal collab was released or would you like to see an instrumental given a chance as a single?
