I posted this in the Sets forum but I figured I'd repost it here.

Huge Chemical Brothers fan. It was the only act I actually WANTED to see at the Perth BDO and fucking lo and behold they close the Boiler Room off, so when I saunter over there during Powderfinger, I can't get in. Long story short, I got in halfway through Star Guitar (thanks to Consumer for the setlist) and it ROCKED ASS!! I wasn't even pilling and I loved it!. The music was great.

(Ironically, I kept telling everyone how I thought the 2000 BDO was the best ever because I saw Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Nine Inch Nails. But I totally forgot that Chems toured that year, and I didn't see them because I wasnt into them at the time!!! So it really was the best ever BDO, but I missed the Chems then. But I was 17)

So and I hope I dont get in trouble for this, I recorded the entire encore The Private Psychadelic Reel on my digital camera. I was running out of memory so I recorded it in VGA mode, so its a terrible picture, but it gives you an idea of what it was like in the Boiler Room Perth 2005. I make a cameo in the vid, I turn the camera on myself for a couple of strobe-lit seconds! It's about 15 meg and it runs for 11mins and 20 secs. And I stress, its terrible quality picture, and bad sound.

Enjoy!

Ford.

Wow, that's an amazing vid, really captures what TPPR live is like!

To anyone who hasn't experienced The Private Psychedelic Reel live, and doubts it's power as a song, WATCH THIS!!

Thank you for this clip, Ford. That song is so intense, plus the visuals and people freaking out. I just love it, and the song give me goosebumps. Gets me riled up for when I get to see the Chems!

I have yet to hear The Reel live in person, and stuff like this makes me so happy.

^ Yeah, I know, got the dvd the day it came out - Hoops and The Reel are my favorite parts of the dvd. Along with Temptation/Star Guitar!

It's still nice seeing other clips of live material from elsewhere in the world - The Reel is just ultimate to me...

No worries to everyone who enjoyed the vid. I wanted to hear the Test but when they came out and played Private Psychadelic Reel, I whipped out the camera and started recording, and I'm glad I did cause that vid has good memories.
