its boring here so lets have some useless threads.

i used macs for years in the 90's, they sucked. pc's were where it was at.

now pc's are the biggest load of gay ive ever come accross.

mac os x really is the easiest, best, nicest looking os around. i just cant touch a pc now, they just seem so slow, annoying and shit to me now.

i love my macbook. my iPod classic is great, its a portable HDD and all my music, and my iPhone is something that has really helped me out of a few sticky situations, needing emails when theres no wifi, getting last minute directions,

im in no way a victim of marketing, i actually decided to get the iphone 3g a few weeks before it came out, when it was still rumours. i dont just blindly buy apple products, ive tried the blackberry, hate it, and the only other one available is the google android.....and thats just shit!

so......what do you use?

"I actually decided to get the iphone 3g a few weeks before it came out, when it was still rumours. i dont just blindly buy apple products" I'd say that is a complete contradiction.... However i love my ipod 5th Gen 30g ipod it's seen me through over 2 years and is filled to the rim with meaty goodness.

I'm very happy with my Macbook. It's nice to know I dont need to worry about trojans and spyware without needing a software to keep my computer safe.

Like Chemdup, I first learned how to use a computer on a Mac. Then once windows 95 came along, I jumped on the band wagon. Last year it finally came to the point where I needed to find my own computer apart from the one I shared with my family (PC). Went with the Macbook (which ironically, was encouraged by Ben J to buy one. Mac os x is fantasticly easy and so well organized.

Only complaint, I wish I had the new aluminum casing for my macbook. I got the plastic version and some places the plastic is so thin on the surface it cracks, like mine. But no worries, I can take it to an Apple Store and or send it to Apple to get it fixed for free.

OSX is an amazing operating system: fast, easy, reliable, good-looking.

I use both systems, and these are my computer:

1 PC dektop, 1 PC notebook

1 iMac, 1 Powerbook

Thank God for the plateau of computing power in PCs. I have a 5 year old Dell Inspirion that has worked magnificently, and still does.

I think that the spyware/malware issue is overrated. If you're a fucking idiot that downloads everything from any site and opens every *.exe file, then yes, it's a problem. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure why people keep mentioning the issues.

I'd love to have a Macbook, definitely. I'd like to have a Mac so I could work on music again, eventually.

Right now I have a PC. We don't do much with it anymore except surf the internet, send email and once in a blue moon play some games. It's fine and gets the job done but it came with a lousy video and sound card - both of which required upgrading especially the video card so stash could game. I never did get around to upgrading the sound card because frankly it's a pain in the ass.

I have an iPhone 3G which I absolutely adore. It's so easy. I plug it into my computer and everything syncs up - easy as pie. It's such an easy device to use and I get great coverage. If there's ever a problem I can just run to the Mac store if need be. I've been pleased so far with the phone service, AT&T. Plus I can access the internet whenever I want which was a revolution for me since I don't have a laptop. It comes in handy if we're watching a movie and I need to hop on imdb and get my trivia on. And I can check the forums from my phone though it does take eons for the pages to load.

I use both!

Mac for Logic, Live, and Pro Tools. For me it's all about quality, reliability, and ease of use with Macs.

PC for cheap/free creativity.

ATM i only have access to macs at college, but at home i have a laptop PC used only for music production and a desktop PC for everything else. I aim to get one of those new macbookpros in the very near future.
