Around 1,000 people protested outside the Czech interior ministry Monday over the storming by riot police of a techno party at the weekend.
Police fired tear gas and water cannons at around 5,000 ravers to break up the party Saturday even though organisers of the CzechTek event insisted they had the proper permission to stage the event.
Around 80 people, including almost 50 police officers, were injured in the clash at the event in the village of Mlynec in the west of the country, close to the German border. One party-goer was killed after being knocked down by a truck.
The protesters Monday bore banners with slogans such as "Down with fascists in the government."
