Hello everyone. Nice to 'meet' ya. As far as meeting up, I've only been to Chicago to transfer flights, so I know absolutely nothing about its nightlife in that area. But the odds are there's a good bar within 5 blocks of the place we can all get to without too much trouble. I'm also thinking of coming in now on Sunday so I can see some sights on Monday during the day. Someone told me there's some good museums in Chicago.

Chicago's got great museums, cultural life, shopping, sporting events, and pizza, all of which should be sampled pre/post-Chems.

Is Millenium Park where that giant trippy mirror-like ball is? If so, that would be a great place to meet up.

Got my tickets in the mail today, was very very happy to get them... then I took a look at them only to be surprised by an unwanted "Must be 18 + with ID" on it... bah, either going to have to not go or go with my "fake 18" plan.

android... just a heads up, when I went there for scissor sisters I think that I got ID'd. so make sure to keep that in mind.

Millenium park just off of michigan ave about 8 miles south of the riviera. Though it is a great place and would work for a meeting place, walking to the show probably won't be all that convenient.

Here is a map of where the Riv is at:

http://maps.google.c...aps?ll=41.96884,-87.658818&spn=0.006717,0.016265&t=h&z=16&om=1

Across the street, there is a starbucks. My suggestion is we meet at Starbucks and then form a plan (because I know some of us are on budgets, and some are underage (21))... but from what I have seen online, there are a few spots up the block we can go to... one call the Green Mill, another called the Uptown lounge that we could hit up. Also, we could just sit near our cars and have some drinks there... get to know each other and get the night going on the cheap.

Doors open up at 6:30. I plan on leaving bloomington around 3, which puts me there around 5/530. Would that be a good meeting time for everyone else?

oh... and Hi Becky!

i'm definately up for a number exchange. tho I don't really want to post it for everyone here to see. I can delete spam, but I cannot really ignore phone calls.

find me at:

as far as walking around the city goes, hit michigan ave. tons of stuff to do, pretty much all within walking distance.

Lots of stores. Field museum, Shed Aquarium, Art museum, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Plantarium are all right there. [and I know that Shed and the Plantarium have free admittance on monday the 24th, lucky you]...

and if you pick up a train pass ($5/day pass - http://www.transitch...aps/fares.html), the red line will take you pretty much everywhere down michigan(Monroe/State & Washington/State) and up to The Riviera (Lawrence Station)

[damn, the internets/google are great!]

A nearby starbucks, or watering hole works fine by me. I rarely even use my phone, so I go by my email accounts that I check on the phone too. So when the day comes, just email darktower1977@yahoo.com and I can meet everyone wherever. :)
