Hey look at that! Tom and Ed got another nomination from industry folk in a category you won't see on TV. Huzzah!
Mind you we all knew how great the album was anyway. We didn't need industry insiders to tell us that.

Although I like seeing them winning and being appreciated by a jury for what they do, I have to say, there's really no need to get an award from such fake and soulless event. And I also mean that in general, for every artist. I don't feel bad because the chems didn't win - I don't even really care. But it clearly shows what kind of measuresments are being used that a song like Bad Romance by Lady Googoo wins when others are so much more original or at least less unified mashes like this forgetable song.
She might deserve her place in the music industry (for whatever reason), but please, is a show/appearance/ attention craving fuss more important than the music itself? I guess these days, the answer is yes. Most of nowadays musicians try to use huge gigantic shows with lots of mumbo-jumbo to make up for a bad performance. Take the recent Super Bowl. Haha, it could not have gotten much more ridiculous than this. God bless the vocoder/auto tune that at least some lyrics didn't come out out of tune.
Well, but then again I had a fun time watching this comedy show. Too bad it wasn't meant to be a self-ironic one.
I rather like being my own critic awarding whatever artist by showing by appreciation when playing them on my stereo.
