Hey Chem Bro and Sis,

I hit rock bottom few years ago...but luckly a stranger suggested me to get a CD called Exit Planet Dust...after listening for couple of months...this freaking awesome album really re-arranged my chemical brain cells and brought me out of bottomless pit...yep, still listenin' to that CD...actually it made my body boogie(dance) to boldy go where nobody dared has gone before(mmm the last part sounds familiar)...

I stopped by couple of local music stores and asked if there's another CD like Exit Planet Dust...they seemed have no idea...then I stumpled onto this outstanding forum!

Here's my question for ya:

Is there another CDs like Exit Planet Dust?

(It can be from Chemical Brothers or not)

Thanks!

P.S. Oh my bad, wanna chemically dance w/me?

Wow, it's amazing how music can do that, change your life around. Personally I can't really think where music has changed me but it's great that it effects people in a positive way.

The chem's follow up Dig Your Own Hole is more of the same good chemical beats. There's some good leftfield from the same era (mid 90s) that is similar, as well...

Wow, rawperspective, welcome to our corner of the universe. I'm digging your enthusiasm! Congrats on getting your life back, believe me I know *exactly* what you mean. The basic premise of your story echoes mine.

Now that your ears are forever changed, you'll never hear anything the same.

But to be honest there is nothing quite like the Chemical Brothers, but now that your mind is free... Slipvin has some very good recommendations, heed his advice!

Some more recommendations:

Chemical Brothers - all of them (you've got a whole world to discover!)

FC Kahuna - Machine Says Yes

Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman

Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Portishead - Dummy

Orb - UF Off

Air - Moon Safari, Virgin Suicides, Talkie Walkie

Spiritualized - Lazerguided Melodies

just to start...
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Underworld - Second Toughest in the Infants

Primal Scream - Screamadelica (No album makes me smile like this one)

(Slipvin, good call on Vanishing Point: gets better every time I listen to it, which is quite frequently)

Well, the suggested albums are good CDs, but they don't sound like Exit Planet Dust. Like people always say, there is nothing like a Chemical Brothers album. The Crystal Method (Tweekend, and Vegas) and that Fatboy Slim album are in the same ballpark, but they feel different.

Screamadelica? Do me a lemon! X-D
