Sorry I didnt get an exact set list but it happened kinda like this
(someone please correct me)
Hey Boy Hey Girl (still the starter)
Block Rockin Beats
Galvenise
Music: Response
Out of Control
Under the Influence
Star Guitar
---
Electrobank pt1
The Golden Path
Electrobank pt2
(not exactly sure what was going on here but it went on for a long time, elements of the two tracks being spliced in together, epic, and uterly fucking flawlessly beutiful)
---
ENCORE - The Private Phychedelic Reel - Super Extended Mix into general noise and madness
By the end of it they had broken down into an absolute crazy mess of sound, with Tom up on the desk with a synth over his lap twisting and shreading up these sounds. It was great.
This gig seriously put to shame anything else I have ever seen. I almost shed a freaking tear.
Long live the Chemical Brothers.

I take it was totally worth the wait, and the universe has righted itself, and the Brothers are working it out!

BTW are you sure that was the entire setlist? It seems a bit modest for an one and a half hour show, and also the 'Galvanize' was the only song of 'PTB' to be included!?
I think you were just too excited and overwhelmed to remember everything.
Anyway I will be catching Chemical Brothers live show in Sydney on this coming thursday, so I'll try to write a nice review (if I can remember).

I'll try and enter track names into my phone during the set, but it all depends on what state I'm in :)

Well, here I am, here's a more accuate run-down:
Tomorrow Never Knows Intro
Hey Boy Hey Girl
Get Yourself High
Galvanize
Music: Response
Block Rockin' Beats/Leave Home/Song To The Siren (All mashed up)
Come Inside
Electronic Battle Weapon 4 (Under The Influence)
Electronic Battle Weapon 1 (It Doesn't Matter)
Out Of Control
Temptation/Star Guitar
Surface To Air
Electronic Battle Weapon 6 (Hoops)
Electronic Battle Weapon 7 (Acid Children)
Setting Sun
Golden Path
...at this stage my girlfriend needed some fresh air, we were in the front row, and decided to be "ejected" from the venue... We walked across the front of the Boiler Room, seeing 10000 people going mad during setting sun. This was my 3rd Chem bros, so I wasn't sorry to leave early, I knew of the greatness that would follow... The best moment was walking in front of all these people and dancing my way off the stage... YEAH!
I would imagine that the encore would have been Elektrobank beats, Got Glint and definitely Private Psychedelic Reel...
where exactly were you psyklond? did you see a guy and a girl getting during Setting Sun?

Imagine that... I wonder if that's how Tom and Ed must feel every time they play - when they glance away from their gear and look out into the mass of people moving to their every musical whim. It must be mind boggling or even catch them by surprise maybe - even for experienced festival headliners like them. Don't you think? What an insane feeling that must be for them up there! Imagine having the kind of power to play everyone into the palms of your hands like that! It's too hard to imagine for someone like me but for them, even for just a moment or even afterwards after the crowd has dissipated, it must feel like they were the leaders of some musical revolution!

It was good to see Ed get right into it and walk out on stage during the more impressive moments of the set to give a wave to the crowd or even to groove along to the tracks! (I think he did this in Star Guitar, I can't quite remember) Tom also got right into it, but I can't help but think he was a bit dissapointed in the beginning for some reason. He seemed to look out at the crowd, start to wave his hands up and then look straight back at the desk like something was wrong. After Star Guitar he seemed to be right back into it though, getting the crowd going and running over to say something to Ed etc.
Galvanize was fucking amazing live too. That beat is huge! They took out the vocals apart from the "don't hold back" and the "world the time has come to -push the button-". I've gotta say, the big build up in the middle was fucking huuuuuge! Everyone was cheering as it was building, and when the beat dropped the place went nuts. This is certainly a phenomenal song to hear live.
Music Response was freaking amazing. What puzzled me (and kinda freaked me out) was the visuals - the silhouette of a dude shooting himself in the head, and then two dudes shooting each other at the same time. It really made me wonder about what this song is really about, or at least what point they were trying to get accross... this space returned when "It Doesn't Matter" came booming out of the system later on, with robots dancing on the screen. Like I said earlier these guys really know how to fuck with your head!
I never really liked Come Inside that much from the Chile set, but hearing it live is something else. The big build up after block rockin beats before Come Inside had everyone with hands shaking in the air - the sound was absolutely amazing, and took the whole set to a new level. The beat is massive, and the track was bloody intense the whole way through.
UTI, IDM and OOC were massive, massive tracks. They had everyone going nuts, and kept the intensity up the whole way through. Those tracks just don't let up! It works out though, because Temptation/Star Guitar set the record straight and took everyone to a new blissful heights. That is definitely one of the most uplifting tracks ever written - at least when played live over a massive system anyway.
At this point Tom and Ed both walked around on stage in a daze - it's good to see they still get affected so much by their tunes, the crowd certainly felt the same way. Out of nowhere comes Surface to Air which was again intensely blissful. EBW6 came out of this which was some stomping acid house, but was outdone by EBW7. This is another track that I never really got into, but seeing a massive clown on the screen saying "you are all my children now" is one of the most mind fucking things I've ever seen in a concert. That song was damn intense, and I was still reeling when setting sun was played after this. These 3 tracks really took me to some intense, evil acid-y places (the clown just topped it off!), and hearing Golden Path rise out from this acid fury was beautiful. I swear they play that track almost as an apology for the people who get a little too freaked out during the hard acid techno the preceeds it.
At this point, the end of elektrobank comes in which was excellent. The whole place pulsed around with the massive delayed hits from that track. Everyone went crazy at the end of this, and then the Chems hesitantly went off stage. Everyone kept clapping and cheering, but nothing happened. I started to think they weren't gonna come back out, but after a couple of minutes Ed came out followed by Tom and the crowd went nuts again. Tom leant over and said something to Ed, which was probably like "they want more" cause then they played the encore of Got Glint and TPPR to everyones delight. I'm pretty sure some sounds from The Big Jump were put into Got Glint, but I can't be sure. Either way it went off.
TPPR was what really reinforced the religeous experience sentiment of the set, especially as it started off with the stained glass jesus visuals. This was pretty much as on the DVD, except seeing it live took the track to new heights. Near the end, Ed even held up one finger as if to ask the crowd if they wanted one more refrain which was greeted with a cheer for more.
I'm running out of steam here, and obviously have left out many many aspects of the set, but you really need to see it for yourself (if you haven't already). That was the single most awesome live experience I've ever had, and I don't think that will be beaten any time soon. It will stay in my memory forever as a landmark of musical genius.
It should be noted that I had consumed an illicit substance and the above might not be accurate description of what happened, but it's certainly how it seemed to happen for me and my mates ;).
As for the set list, I'm pretty sure this set contains the same tracks listed in XPNDR's post including Elektrobank and the encore of Got Glint and TPPR at the end.

I was so excited reading it, it almost felt as if I was there with you. I can't wait till I see them in Sydney.
I only have issue with one thing. In all of their pre-tour interviews, they were always mentioning how they are so busy with re-programing of the new live set before the Australian tour starts.
From what I've read, this set, with the exception of the 'Galvanize', seems to be the exactly same set they did on europian festivals and south american tour in 2004.
I'm not really dissapointed, because this is a mind-blowing set, I just wonder what happened to all the major re-programing they were talking about.

I probably should have mentioned - along with Galvanize, there are also Push The Button themed visuals early on in the set, like a fist flying up a brick tunnel (like on the album cover) and the gears head shooting planes (or was it missiles?) out of it's mouth. X-D

'They will be live shows so fans down-under will get a chance to see the amazing new set the band showcased across the European festival circuit this year.'
i will be pissed if it isn't altered by the time they get home!!!
