ello all

jus trawling rhough chems dj sets on youtube and came across this:

http://www.youtube.c...ature=endscreen

(edit for correct link - facepalm)

which sounds like the track christened 'the galloping horse silver techno tune' (well - by me and mchebne haha) - which the chems used to play all the time at turnmills.

it sounds a lot like cylinders carousel, but erm.... isnt. not that that helps.

i am pretty sure it was a chems dj tool or an edit of something, but can anyone id it?

cheers

mips

Ah--yes, Cylinders is absolutely massive on the loud speakers!!!

I know the track you're talking about. They played it during their 2003 New York Centro-Fly DJ set. There is a recording of the set that is split up into three tracks. You can hear this track come in around 19:00 into the middle track.

I would upload it but I can't find any suitable file sharing sites that don't require a login. What is the world coming to these days?

Mediafire's nice, I seem to remember there's no login, or a really no-hassle login.

Mips, that's a combination of Carosel and For Ann (Rising) by James Tenney.

Good god I've not looked at this forum for donkeys. I do and I find Mips posting about the galloping horse track.

It's like I've stepped into a time warp. A good one I might add.

To clarify: it's NOT Koenig Cylinders. The track we're talking about is on the Asagiri Jam bootleg; the track before the Battleweapon version of Hoops.

It's a galloping techno track based around a lolloping arpeggio

Great memories of THAT room

I don't know about the Asagiri Jam bootleg, but here's the clip from the 2003 Centro-Fly DJ Set:

[It starts ~1:45]

Hopefully this will set the record straight, and MAYBE T&E will give us a little bit of insight on this one. (please?)

Nice. Glad to be of service.

I'll post the rest of the set tomorrow in its entirety, or at least almost in its entirety.

I remember being so stoked the night of that set because got to hear Acid Children (EBW7) for the first time--watching Tom spread his arms to the crowd and mouth "YOU ARE ALL MY CHILDREN NOW."

Freaked me the hell out, but I loved it.

I will deliver! Just renamed a few files and hopefully my terribly slow Internet will allow for an upload today.

My upload speed is simply awful--will see if I can upload from a different place and I'll provide DropBox links when it's done.
